Has Gt ever had weather physics?

I played Gt1 and 2 back on the ps1 and gt3 a-spec and tokyo geneva was it? But I dont think I ever seen weather, I could be wrong. Do you think there is a chance we might see it if it has never been done before.....

NO there has never been weather Physics in the GT series, there were a few WET courses in GT4 but it was not weather physics.

^Yup, you could race Special Stage Route 5 in the wet, I actually preferred it to the GT4 Tsukuba Wet race, wet track looks a lot nicer in the night.

ye just imagine how good it would be on GT5, doing an endurance race and half way through you had to change to wet tyres because it started to rain.
it would be great, it would also make you think about your race strategy which would make the game more realistic.
just imagine how good that would be.

If PD want to see how it's done they should look no futher than Grand Prix 3, I still think it's the best simulation of dynamic weather (never played 4) in any race game, it just looks so real in how it dries out,how it affected strategies, everything about it was awesome. (I'm going to get 4 now )

If they could do it I would like to have the windscreen wipers going at the same time,and real time spray effects hitting the windscreen I would be mighty impressed.

Agree, I think if you race the wet track in GT3 even today it will not look too shabby!

same here i think it was mainly becuase i wasnt that old when i started playing gt, Im more into my racers now and understand how things work, better at doing manual, back in the day it was auto all the way. The only thing I still need major tips on is tuning modding parts and toe etc all that stuff

Man, I printed out both of scaff's guides, and read them both more than once, I learned an incredible amount thanks to those guides.

GT5 is supposed to have changing weather conditions during races. Along with making sandwiches, doing laundry, and all the other household chores.

when you did the special stage on GT4 against the prototype car that had wet weather physics.. well it felt harder and you had to slow down much more to get round the corners..

but that was the only track that had them..

No, i dont think so, although the terrain and atmosphere were very similar to Tsukuba, I dont remember them being in the wet.

Yeah I remember them in GT3, IIRC it was a C5 corvette in the tests.

Yeah for sure weather effects would take Gran Turismo to another level!!👍
Imagine having to account for the possiblity of adverse weather, you would have to have a strategy for wet tires, your car setup for Dry or Wet, what car you use even! racing on the dry line...not getting the car in the wet track area, that would make the experience between tyre and track so more dynamic!! That would be really fantastic, I have been imagining the day GT has weather effects for a looooong time!!👍

Special Stage 5 in the wet was possibly the funnest races I've had in any GT series IMO. Speeding down the straightaway at 150+mph with spray from the other cars blinding you was so fun. Now if GT5 includes Nurburgring Nordschleife in the rain......

Now that would be fun, also quite a laugh seeing cars trying to crawl out of wet sand traps lol.
