OK - again.

Top Gear-junk TV?

Boo.

Hahah, just kidding. I love Corvettes and they are incredible vehicles (especially factoring in the cost to performance ratio). For fun last summer I bought and fixed up a beat up 92 vette. Only spent about 4k on the whole ordeal, but man I love it.

Drove a newer model and love them too. I like European cars more than American in general, but if people are going to pick on a US car, the Corvette isn't the one to pick on.

I think it is funnier that the Ferrari 599 uses the same technology in its shocks that the Corvette has had as an option since 2003.

You never hear about that now do you?

That's because people would have to admit that American are not rubbish after all.

Fiber glass panels are not as rigid as metal if they want to remain light. This is also the reason it can shrug off minor bumps cause they bend and spring back. Again there is nothing wrong with this.

Nice - but you better watch out for those "bendy like plastic" body panels

Aussies do cool stuff with american cars.

And heck it is not like american cars have not gotten better over the years.

And its not like italian sports cars have had major reliability issues in the past, had gear shifters that to shift gears was like lifting weights, and had visibility that was nonexistent.

Nor that modern day supercars do not burst into flames with alarming regularity. No matter who builds them.

Its great and all that we are finally coming around to the fact that suspension matters.

Maybe in the future all our sports cars will go fast and turn decent.

And kas owns a ford gt and has said it was one of his all time favorite cars, so it is not like he is a american basher just cause it is cool.

Locked and the OP has a warning that this kind of behavior is not welcome here.
