Wow, I feel like I've met nobody compared to this.

Stu Holden (MF for Bolton)
The entire Houston Dynamo
Roy Oswalt and Lance Berkman
Danica Patrick, Marco Andretti and Scott Dixon
The guys in the bands Shinedown, Saving Abel and Evans Blue
...and David Robinson (Spurs C) in a restaurant bathroom, the same way my friend met Terry Bradshaw and John Madden on different occasions.

That was more than I thought! :dopey:

Let's see:
My Dad did a Skip Barber school wayyyyyy back in the day. It just so happened that Vic Elford was one of his instructors.
They still keep in touch, so I know him quite well.

I've met David Hobbs at a PCA event.

Norbert Singer (he oversaw the Engineering process of the Porsche 917, 956, 962, GT1 etc. He was involved in the development process of every Porsche that has ever won overall at Le Mans) at a seminar about the 917.

I'm Facebook friends with Patrick Long and Joerg Bergmeister Met them and most of the other notable drivers that have competed in the ALMS during their autograph sessions. Including Alan McNish, Dindo Capello, Tom Kristensen, Lucas Luhr, Sascha Maasen, Time Bernhardt, Romain Dumas, and quite a few others.

At an indoor place where I used to kart, Joey Hand came once. My lap times were half a second faster than his. ;)
I've seen CC Sabathia the pitcher for the NY Yankees and his Bentley in the same place. Damn he's huge.

I've seen/met Skip Barber multiple times at Lime Rock.

A really good one was just this year after the GP of Canada I saw and met Michael Schumacher in a bar.

And of course, my Mom.

I've never really met or seen anyone famous, but my mom used to work in the film industry, so she knows some folks.

But, the best story she has told me was when she met David Coulthard, or Big Chin Man, as she likes to call him, in London Heathrow Airport.

Wish I was there.

I saw the Top Gear team (including the latest Stig) at TG live 2010 at the NEC Birmingham. However, probably the best part was when we were going down a huge raised walkway to get to the arena. As we came to a window, we saw two Range Rovers with blacked out windows. Burly looking men stepped out of the drivers seats, opened the back doors and out stepped Jeremy, James and Richard!

Also, not sure if this counts but I'm going to see N-Dubz in 11 days.

Well I've seen Jason Bradbury when he came to my school. He is a television presenter of The Gadget Show and an author. Got a signed book from him. :D

My mum works at London Heathrow Airport so I suppose she often sees famous people.

500th post!!!

Rosario Dawson, Anthony Anderson, Scarlett Johansson, Russell Simmons, Wu-Tang Clan, and Susan Sarandon twice!

I handed the Queen of England a bouquet of flowers as a young Cub Scout and received a pleasant ''thank you''.

I was awarded most improved by Frank Lampard Jr when I was around ten for my Echo league football team award ceremony.

Met Alvin Martin a lot also when I played footie as a kid. His boy Joe Martin played on the same level as me but as a reserve. His older brother David Martin played in a group for the same team a year above me, I think he's playing in the Prem somewhere now.

I smoked some bud with Skibba D of the drum & base scene fame. They headed a rave (Innovation) in a club in Cornwall, south west England, when I happened to be holidaying there. After it had finished around 6am I went down an alleyway outside the club and they were building a joint and asked if I had a piece of cigarette for it. I gave them a piece and they let my have a few puffs which was nice because I hadn't had a smoke all week.

Went to support and meet Jason Leonard, ex-England rugby captain. He grew up at the same school as me and in his honour the school opened a sports centre named after him. To repay the favour he sent the school a handful of tickets to his début as captain at Twickenham. I was lucky enough to be chosen to go.

I've also met a whole host of other famous footballers, long before they were famous, when they were playing in youth teams.

Adam Sandler my favorite actor filmed Mr. Deeds in my town when I was young, never met him though, and in 2006 I met Jimmie Johnson got some pictures with him and got him to sign my shirt! ^^

Meeting John Madden in a bathroom? That's a story to tell lol

I've actually raced against Colin Turkington in a simulation demo' derby! He won £100 that night, not like he needs the money! lol

Well, not that £100 will make much difference to him, but given how he won the BTCC championship in 2009 but couldn't find the budget to defend his title in 2010, I don't exactly think he's rolling in the money.

Also, not sure if this counts but I'm going to see N-Dubz in 11 days.

No, it does not count, or else anyone who's ever been to a concert/sporting event etc would have to post here and we'd be on page 2000000000000000. As it happens, please do us all a favour and kill n-dubz for us.

Forgot to mention a few. I met the Dirty Sanchez team years ago when I went into my local skateshop for something.

I also met Micky Dee from Motorhead. Complete and utter *expletive deleted*. Wasn't interested in anything that didn't have a pair of *expletive deleted*.

I've personally met Carly Patterson, she lives in the same city I do. I've also met Billy Idol.

My mom has talked to the lead singer of the Buzzcocks, has been passed a beer by the lead singer of the Stray Cats, talked with the Ramones, and met U2 in a club a couple years before they became famous. She also met Nastia Luken at a Target.

Pretty much the whole of Arsenals and Wolves football squad and staff, and most importantly, two of Robin Van Persie's goals in the flesh this season at the emirates stadium. :)

I've SEEN quite a few (but most are just from gigs or being in crowds) but have met a few others.

Those I've seen:
Foo Fighters (Gig)
Pendulum (Gig x2)
Muse (Gig)
Biffy Clyro (Gig)
Newton Faulkner (Gig, but very small private gig - he walked through the audience to get to the stage...)
Been to a lot of touring car race meetings, so seen many decent drivers and the touring car drivers themselves during the pit walkabout.

Those I've met:
Mika Hakkinen - Had a driving experience at Silverstone. Got there early so wondered around, and found he was hotlapping the Stowe circuit with a Johnny Walker event! Stopped for photo's and a chat! :)
Rubens Barrichello - Sponsor event recently where I got to meet him. Very funny / diplomatic answers during the Q&A...
Tom Chilton - Raced at the simulator centre I work at for his birthday, spoke to all of us there and even brought beer as a thank you!
Max Chilton - Raced brother on day above, also spoke to him at the centres opening when he gave me some driving tips ahead of my first session in the simulator.
Sam Bird - Was at one of our award nights.

And finally - I followed Gary Rhodes down an escalator at Gatwick Airport! Yes!

Gigs and sporting events should not count. Or else I could list hundreds of musicians.

NBA(basketball):

Jermaine O'Neal ...Kevin Duckworth, Shawn Kemp, Antonio Harvey... Sergio Rodriguez/Jarret Jack/LaMarcus Aldridge/Coach Nate Also Tommy Lee Jones & Benicio Del Toro, ... Gem Archer of Oasis.
Since my post, I think I've met just Brian Grant(another Ex-Blazer), Rick Adelman(future HoF coach), Steve Patterson(Former Blazers President) and Larry Miller(Blazers President, Former President of Jantzen & Jordan brands.

Brian Gran seems like a great human being, and funny story regarding Rick Adelman encounter if you are interested.
And this isn't a famous person, but it is a famous vehicle. It's the Dharma Initiative VW Van from the Television drama Lost. I found it at a local specialty car dealer called Driver Source. I was very excited!

Yes. 👍

Rosario Dawson, Anthony Anderson, Scarlett Johansson, Russell Simmons, Wu-Tang Clan, and Susan Sarandon twice!
Nice list. I especially like Rosario & Wu-Tang. 👍

Nope, but I saw other people listed them so put it up as well. Did imply at the start that they were people I'd seen rather than met with any story.

Just to add to the list, I have met Richard Branson... twice! But I was young both times and barely remember either of them. First was due to winning a competition and second was at Heathrow Airport.

Former NHL player Lou Franchesetti. I don't know how to spell it , but I met him and got his autograph on my NHL Alumni hat. Cool guy.

Took a piss next to Jacques Laffite once.

I met Jacques in a hotel lobby in Shanghai, the same weekend when I was introduced to a very friendly Ralf Schumacher. "You must be the guy from Hong Kong," he opened the conversation with.

"Yes, that's right." I replied, "Have you ever been?"

"No, but I've always wanted to visit!" he said, to which I replied, "You should! And if you need a place to stay, you can stay at mine!" forgetting he was on about twenty-million a year and could probably afford his own hotel room, thank you very much. It was at that point he 'needed to make a phone call'... Nice chap though!

I also said something equally stupid to Sven Goran Eriksson's ex-girlfriend Nancy Dell'Olio when I met them one Boxing Day but it escapes me now, probably for the better!
