Anthony Kiedis and Flea of RHCP. Eric Avery from Janes Addiction. Felipe Massa, Kamui Kobayashi, Murray Walker, Karun Chandhok, Adrian Newey, Sutil, Liuzzi, Algeursuari twice, Martin Whitmarsh, Stefano Domenicali, Nico Hulkenburg, Nico Rosberg, Sebastian Bourdais, Mark Webber 3 times, Christian Horner twice, Rob Smedley.

I haven't seen anyone of note that I remember, but my friend got a picture of Michael Vick and Roy Hallady together at the Philadelphia airport. Must've been fun for him, but I could care less about sports

Emma Watson, Daniel Radcliffe and Rupert Grint.

I have Joe Namath's autograph. :)

I've also met Hakeem 'The Dream' Olajuwon, Tracy McGrady, and Yao Ming from going to Rockets' games over the years and I met Yao at his restaurant. Olajuwon is one of only 4 players to ever record a quadruple-double. I'm probably most proud of meeting him. I wiki'd him and a quote I found sums up what I think about him.

Michael Jordan
"If I had to pick a center [for an all-time best team], I would take Olajuwon. That leaves out Shaq, Patrick Ewing. It leaves out Wilt Chamberlain. It leaves out a lot of people. And the reason I would take Olajuwon is very simple: he is so versatile because of what he can give you from that position. It's not just his scoring, not just his rebounding or not just his blocked shots. People don't realize he was in the top seven in steals. He always made great decisions on the court. For all facets of the game, I have to give it to him."

Edit:
It's worth a watch. Some very good plays whether you know who he is or have never heard the name. The one where it shows the score against the Magic is the NBA Finals Game 7. I remember that shot vividly.

When I was a kid in Baltimore a bunch of baseball players came to our school. Apparently they were famous: Boog Powell, Brooks Robinson, Frank Robinson, Paul Blair, guys like that. I knew they were ball players at the time, but I didn't really understand that they were those ball players!

Johnny Unitas came in once, too, but not to anything I was involved with, so I didn't see him.

I may be showing some age, here. . . . .

In more recent times I've had interactions with some racing folks while corner working, cleaning up after incidents. I got on TV at the Barber Motorsports Park AMA race in September, the lap 1 turn 1 crash in Daytona Sportbikes race 1: unattended motorcycle whacked the barrier just a few feet from us, followed immediately by the guy formerly riding it. For the most part, those guys are very appreciative of the work we do; you'd expect them to be kinda moody right after crashing or breaking down, or even getting crashed into, but with a few exceptions, the riders and drivers are quite cordial and even fun as they hang around the station waiting to get picked up after an incident.

I see Jack Black every so often because he is shooting a movie where I live.
I imagine once the U.S. Grand Prix comes to Austin I will see plenty of people since I literally live about five minutes from the track.

I went to Vegas this summer and partied with Shaq!
We were at club Pure @ Caesars Palace he was performing, we got a VIP table and we were right next to him all the girls were spilling over to our table :)

Most of the Australian cricket team and loads of other cricketers. Also, Dr Christian (the doctor who isn't the perviest looking man in the world) the bloke who does the lol-documentaries on Channel 4. They were recording in the country hotel I finished working at yesterday.

He looks more predatory in real life.

The Saturdays - Sang at the arena stage of the 2008 WRC Rally of Wales.

Valentino Rossi - Competed at said rally stage and got out of the car to wave at the crowds.

Sebastien Loeb, Petter Solberg, Marcus Gronholm and Mikko Hirvonen - All got interviewed by the press in Cardiff Bay after finishing the 2nd day of the 2009 WRC Rally of Wales.

Julian Lloyd Webber - Played Elgar's Cello Concerto at Classic FM Live in the Royal Albert Hall in march 2010.

Rhydian Roberts - Sang Land of My Fathers at the same concert.

Vasily Petrenko - Conducted the Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra at Classic LM Live in the Royal Albert Hall in September 2010.

And you didn't punch his stupid, square, expressionless face into an amorphous, bloodied pulp?

Do I have to do everything myself?

Well, not that many really famous people, most of them are in motorsport... I stress I am not an autograph hunter, that's chavvy and shallow in my opinion, anyway...

Jenson Button, he was at Silverstone for the BTCC a few years back (spectating obviously), my car had broken down in the paddock car park, he was stationary in his old CLK DTM, so we tapped on the window and asked if he had any jump leads... :D he didn't... my friend asked him why he split up with Louise... um, whatever her name was.. as she was 'well fit'?, ... he put the window up :D.

On the same day I met UK TV presenter Mike Brewer, REALLY nice bloke, also asked him for jump leads, he had none either :(

Kimi Raikkonen was getting into his Merc when I went in for a hand shake, said hello and stuff, he still had my hand when one of his minders shut the car door - THAT was CLOSE!

Robert Kubica... back in the days when he was only 3rd driver for BMW Sauber, I asked him when he would get Villeneuves drive, at the time he laughed.. within a couple of months - it happened. I also met Lucas Digrassi and Faurus Fauzy that day, but that was when they were Formula Renault drivers, therefore more than happy to chat to anybody...

Literally bumped into Rubens Barricello in the paddock at Silverstone.. he's quite short, and sweaty!

Nearly met Fernando Alonso, but he blanked me and his minder shoulder barged me out of the way.

Murray Walker.. is a miserable git, and would only talk to us if we bought a copy of his book, all we wanted to do was get him to say hello to my 4 & 5 year old god children... also met MotorsTV commentator Martin Haven (nice bloke), ex F1 pundit Tony Jardine (nice bloke), ex racer and TV presenter Tiff Needell... errrm, also BTCC champ and TV presenter Jason Plato, serveral times... he smokes like a chimney!

... since we're on touring car drivers, met BTCC ace Mat Jackson in a pub, since then always went and said hello at the races I attended... nice bloke. Ex BTCC and current Porsche Super Cup driver Stephen Jelly... really really nice bloke.. also Matt Neal, James Thompson, Colin Turkington, Rob Collard.... Tom Onslow-cole (nice bloke) and Tom Chilton a couple of times (nice bloke-ish) and Ex STIG, Ben Collins! Ex A1GP GB driver Robbie Kerr... had a chat to him whilst wondering around at BTCC event.

Touring Car LEGEND Deiter Quester.. don't think he spoke English.. conversation was kinda one sided!...

WTCC driver Rob Huff... he was alright, invited me into his pit garage :D, then told me to put that **** in the bin, referring to my andy Priaulx cap.

Christiano DaMatta, Christian Klien, Christijan Albers, Christian Horner (a couple of times)... Horner is a really nice bloke, joked with him on two occasions about offering Juan Montoya a drive back in F1!

.... whilst Juan Montoya himself, rolled his eyes at me, and went off in a huff :D

Tonio Liuzzi, whilst we were talking a woman came up and asked him to sign a picture of David Coulthard!

Nick Heidfeld, nice bloke, I tried to joke about my beard not being as good as his, he didn't laugh.

Met Dirk Werner briefly at Silverstone this year.

..

Non motorsport related people.. Patrick Stewart in New York back in 2000, Thunderbirds creator Gerry Anderson was a friend of a family members friend (tenuous, but I did meet him)...

I also met a porn star once, I don't remember her name, honest ;)

umm, I'm sure there's been more...

Director Ken Kwapis, Drew Barrymore (she's a lot smaller than you think), Ted Danson (he's a lot taller in person), John Krasinski and Kirsten Bell. All last month in Anchorage, Alaska.

I got this "shake-hand man" thing going on with racing drivers. Autograph hunters seem so common, so I just make it my mission to shake hands with 'em instead. I am english you know - its's the done thing, anyway, so far...

Fernando Alonso (@ goodward festival of speed.. then one of his minders shoulder barged my mate!)

Kimi Raikkonnen (although he was in such a hurry to get away from the autograph hunters he nearly pulled my hand into the shutting-door of an s-class)

Nick Heidfeld (I'm a fan so I did get him to sign my cap and told him that he inspired me to grow a beard)

Robert Kubica (This was just before he got Villenueves drive, we had a very quick chat, he's a nice bloke)

Rubens Barrichello (shorter in real-life, and sweatier... but I guess he ain't gettin' and younger :)

Christiano Da matta (met him in london at the F1 thing)

Jenson Button (TRUE STORY, me and my mate flagged him in his black CLK DTM to borrow some jump leads, he didn't have any so my mate asked him why he ever let louise griffiths go?!)

Christian Klien (met him twice actually once outside Redbull hospitality, then again when he'd forgotten the keys to his Golf Gti)

Toni Liuzzi (there were a few people around, one of them gave him a picture of Coulthards red bull to sign, he said "this iza davieees scar" the autograph hunter insisted that he signed it anyway, I felt sorry for him)

Juan Pablo Montoya (okay I didn't shake his hand, he was having none of it, he was p****d off and wasn't stopping for a chat)

Dieter Quester (legendary touring car driver, he signed my cap, but hardly spoke a word of english bless him!)

Christijan Albers (ermm, he was wearing a lovely purple velvet blazer, I'm not sure about him you know!)

Alex Wurz (nice fellow, really taaall)

I also met the entire field of grid girls for the 07 A1GP race at brands last year :D

I literally bumped into Tiff Needell as well, felt like an idiot.

.. oh yeah, and since I'm getting obscure, I shook hands with Patrick Stewart (StarTrek, X-men and stuff) in New York, and also most of the band from Bob Dylans son's (jacob dylan) band "The Wallflowers".

Bit of De Ja Vu here

All you European and US guys get to see all the famous people. No one ever comes down here. I do hope Yamauchi will vacation here though, methinks he needs a break. :D

Heres a strange one: Eddie VanHalen and Sammy Hagar lived next door to each other in Trancas (just above Malibu on the coast). Well theres one house inbetween them and thats the house we were faux-painting in. This was during the 'VanHagar' era. We were there long enough for me to talk to Sammy while he washed one of his Ferraris in his driveway and to have a chat with Eddie while he sat on Sammys back deck waiting on something (we were separated by a low hedge). One day Hagar stuck his head in an open window while I worked and said 'is Loren home??' ..uh, no, dunno where she went Sammy, sorry--

Not the most iconic figure in the world, but I was eating breakfast at a remote diner called Sisters near Babb Montana when Jack Hanna took a seat next to me. He is a super nice guy and enjoys talking about cars as well as wild life.

I briefly met Johnny Depp when he was shooting "Public Enemies" in my hometown of Oshkosh.

I recently met Pupik, to add to my GTP Moderators list.

I dunno, Famine...he doesn't even have a Wikipedia page: Definitely a non-notable living person, although he claims he's met you.

I met Derek Bell before, at the IMSA Miami Grand Prix in 1989. A real class act, he took time to walk around the paddock with the fans as if he was a spectator! Nice enough to shake hands and chit-chat a little, totally off the cuff and with no pretense...I'll never forget that.

My brother and I met A. J. Foyt at the 1988 IMSA West Palm Beach Grand Prix. He was literally getting his (remaining) hair trimmed while the mechanics prepped the cars. My brother and I thought about taking a photo, when he told us "if you don't take my picture, I'll sign an autograph for you". Knowing A.J.'s temper, we declined the photo op, but he signed our race program. We made the right choice...

After that, I've met Chris Carter (brought his Lexus to me for service), Robert Smith (the American football player), and Tomas Vokoun (the latter two brought their Audis in for work).

I spoke to Phil Lynott once a long time ago (obviously) and I sat next to Rammstein singer Till Lindemann on a flight between Stockholm and Berlin once. He was big. I've played golf with some swedish celebritities that you wont know of and also with old hockey star Jari Kurri once. I also once shared a bathroom with swedish pop princess Robyn.

I met Peter Schmichel (sp) and his family in John Lewis's of Manchester once, quite a supprise, and its certainly quite a tall family. We both happened to be shopping for a table-tennis table.

I met John O'Shea at Hoylake open, who actually also turned out to be a nice guy, which is not what I expected.

I met Djibrl Cisse (sp) at my old workplace, as the Lord of Frodsham, he was buying some new plants for his garden, he turned up with his pimped 300C looking farily ridiculous.

I've also briefly met quite a few other famous people, mostly sports people at the various sporst events I have been to over the years.

I am also proud to announce that I have met Patrcik Stewart. :P

You used to be the Lord of Frodsham?

or were you just the 'lord of Frodsham? ;)

She gave her a muffin.

Fill in your own punchline.

I ate her chocolate!

Let's see, I've met members of legendary '90s ska bands The Aquabats, Goldfinger and Reel Big Fish before/after gigs in town. I met V8 Supercar driver Steven Richards back at the 2005 Clipsal 500, almost bumped into Glenn Seton at the same event. Whilst shopping with my sister last year, we bumped into actor Yahoo Serious, probably the most obscure celebrity I'll ever meet. That's about it, really, Adelaide's not much of a celebrity hotspot.
