This has been an interesting thread - lots of potential... and lots of jaw-dropping work. :drool: Oh, and some eye-popping "what were they thinking?" moments, too. :scared:

Anyway, I'm a real-life professional photographer (mostly architectural), so I've actually found the set of tools in GT5 more limiting than I'd have hoped. Still playing around with the camera mode, but took this five-exposure HDR yesterday and ran it through Photomatix Pro before a little work in CS5 (just a little curves layer, masked onto the tire rubber).

Alright so I found out why Photoshop can't handle GT5 images when it comes to HDR processing. Gran Turismo is writing incorrect EXIF data to the files, so high exposure shots might have data labeling them as low exposure or vice versa. Photoshop uses these values to produce the HDR image so obviously incorrect numbers means it's going to go horribly wrong.

The only solution I can see (aside from not using Photoshop) is to find an EXIF editing program. This is probably harder for me being on a Mac, but if anyone finds one or knows how to edit the HEX values I'm sure it'd help out more people than just myself :)

CS5 offers a manual setting of the EV once you've imported them into the HDRpro editing.. So no need for HEX values, og EXIF editors.. You can easily determine which of your shots is ex. -4 and +4, then just set the rest in between accordingly..

Where is that? I couldn't find the option. If the image has no data at all then it asks you to input it manually, but if it has incorrect data it doesn't ask.
 






The last image is essentially a fake HDR shot as I only used one photo to make it. I did however convert that one image into three layers with different exposures to get more or less the same effect. The first two were made with 5 shots each.

wow theres some incredible ones on here. i have played around with a few. would be nice if someonce could tell me how dark these are, my screen is too good at really boosting colours which is not ideal when it comes to editing.

If you could link your thumbnails to full-size versions, it'd be easier for us to give you some feedback on 'em. At least, those of us who need glasses... :dopey:

Nice attempt, with one small criticism if you don't mind ;) The idea behind HDR is to bring out the detail where usually it gets lost, in washed out bright areas and darkened shadow areas. For best results you wanna try and lighten the darker scenery, particularly the trees.
 
Yeah I know.But it didn't look good enough to make it brighter.Alot of wierd colors showed up and trees looked like cut out from paper.And I'm not fan of overdone HDRs really.Any criticism appreciated ofc. :)

Oh I don't like overdone HDR either, but you can still get the detail if you use enough photos. How many did you take? I've been doing 5 for all of mine (-2, -1, 0, +1, +2) and it's worked great. This picture for example was originally really dark on the left side, but it's been brought out without going over the top :)

I believe that's Ahrweiler - Street. I'm kinda torn on the picture... the car looks fantastic but that white building somehow looks more like a computer game than it actually does in the game itself.

I used 7.But it was first try ever so I'm pretty happy with it.;) I'll keep trying to make next one better.
 
This is really my first attempt at this kind of thing, would like some feedback on this if possible, not totally used to all the settings so it might not look as good as it possibly could have. Used a range of -2 to +2 and every .5 in between. Compared to a lot here it looks pretty plain! But it is my first attempt anyway.

I've done the grand tour..I just saw in the unlockables thread where you unlock this location bronzing one of the AMG events.
