If you really want to make them I wouldn't suggest using photoshop. They just never seem to work. Most people here use a program called photomatrix. Including myself. But what you have to do is take 3 5 7 however many photo's really with atleast 1 below, 1 at, and 1 above exposure.

That's how I do it when I do mine. Or if I want to get some really wicked photo's i'll go with -3, -1.5, 0, 1.5, 3
