Nope & nope... It really is a great feature in arcade mode and only time will tell if PD will manage to make it possible to use it in career through the next installment or maybe even through patch.
Definitely hoping for the latter, but i don't like our chances

The head tracker is a fun, yet strange feature. Yes it only works on arcade (only on the easy level may I add), and on a pit stop, it won't let you look around. Even though you can with a controller. Odd feature I know.
This, along with the 3D, was nothing but a rushed feature just to make the game look pretty. But now that the 3D has improved (greatly!), the head tracker feature is left alone, and kinda pointless too...
If you have a PlayStation Eye you can set it up to have the in-game camera (in cockpit view) to move about according to your head/face movements in real life. Like Deko said, only in Arcade on Easy difficulty.
I've tried headtracker before and all i can say is, I was looking at the floorboards and couldn't look back up. MY HEAD WAS UP RIGHT. I even did calibrations aswell.
