Completed the 4 day challenge, and my demo is currently downloading!
the demo's size is 1,754 MB and it's taking forever. I have to work soon, so playing it may have to wait until tomorrow. Even if I manage to play a little tonight, I'll post my impressions tomorrow morning. I'm really eager to try this game out, seeing as though I have it on preorder. 👍
EDIT--
As soon as I got home from work, I turned on the demo. At first glance, the interface is really, really impressive. From the opening "Quantic Dream" credit to the pause screen, the game just shouted out beauty. I'm not going to explain what happens in the demo, but there are some things I want to point out:
1. The game is absolutely gorgeous. The character animation, while walking, is a little robotic, but you won't really care. The game is absolutely stunning.
2. The controls are, for the first few minutes or so, extremely awkward. After that, it will become very natural. The QTEs (displayed in the fight scene in this demo) are a little tough, but with the couple of mistakes I made, the game was a little generous with me and I got through it just fine. I noticed after I did my play through, the difficulty was set to "Hard", which made me question the actual difficulty of the actual game, but we'll just have to see when it comes out.
3. The A.R.I. is f'ing SWEET. That's all you need to know about the A.R.I.
4. The voice acting seems to be 75% great, 25% just... awkward (they abused Norman Jayden's New England accent a little lol).
5. The demo is short. Really short. Which is actually a good thing. It showed the game's general presentation (Controls and Graphics). Nothing more, nothing less. If there's anyone shy about trying the demo because of spoilers, fear not, for there are none.
That's that. There was a trailer included with the demo (I don't know if it's new or recycled). While it is a great trailer, it seems as though it was just thrown on there as if Quantic/Sony were saying "Yeah, you're going to buy this game."
And guess what...? I am! 👍
