Um, drive good? You're still in the begining phases of the game so you gotta make sacrifices to get to the top. :)

Sell a couple cars to get money to buy parts to engineer a good car... that is, if you have any to sell. If you don't, have fun racing super speedway in the Sunday Cup.

LOL, I have gotten far in the game, but restarted. Didnt use this car though. Id rather race the Test Track for 5,000 a pop, I can beat the other races easily, just not this one. I suck, real bad, at that track. I have no other cars, sold em all....and my car isnt really stock, near 300hp...

I guess you should take ASM off first, race the Test Course for that 5,000 a pop, then save up for a Corvette Z06, NA2, then race Super Speedway Endurance.

okies... what else does the car have?
I have done this race in that car with less HP..
do you have and suspension upgrades?
what tires are you running with?

if you are using a ds2 controller put ASM & TCS at 1.
why arent you winning? (ei spinning out, not fast enuff on the straights, corners, ect)

You should be able to win that with the nearly 400hp you have.

talk about whats happening :)

What ving said is probably the quicker solution...;) I don't know why you're not winning with 385 bhp...you should be taking the trophy home easily...I thought you only had 285...:embarrassed:

I just cant get round the corners easy...Stock tires/Suspension. Im not even gonna dump anymore money in the car, I'll work with the ASM & TCS, and see what I can come up with. Thanks guys.

W00t! Got it! Set the ASM & TCS to 5. I am now doin the Sper Speedway race in the GT Championship a bunch, till I have 100k, I spent about 25k of what I had to pimp the RX7 out more, so I could win easier. Peice of cake now. With the 100k, buyin the Z06, and hella parts.

hehe, good on ya :)

but if yer a cheap ass like me and dont like to spend much on upgrades, buying sport or semi-race suspension would have fixed any handling probs :)

I hope so...any tips on makin it handle better? And BTW, when I buy new suspension, does it automatically make it handle better? Or do I have to change the setings myself?

You don't have to mess with the suspension once you buy it. The car is already upgraded once you purchase the part and choose to install it.

OK, thanks for all the help guys. I now have:

RX7 Infinity
Vits
Camaro SS
Lancer Evo V
Del-Sol.

ALl have mods besides the Camaro SS. I dont know what to buy next, guess the Audi Quattro-TT for the series race. I am about to do the Vitz series race when I get a few more mods to it. I just beat the Evo races, and now beating the 4wd ones. All this is on beginner, BTW. I have did some other races too...

"Power is nothing without control", someone once said...

First buy, as soon as you can afford them, should be some Super-Slick (Super-Hard in PAL regions) tyres, generally known as T2s. They are the cheapest, most endurable and least grippy racing tyres, but they'll pull around 4s a lap off a car with stock tyres, and you'll notice the difference in corners.

YES! Words of wisdom. Never race on anything less than T2s in any car (unless it's an OLR specification). The first money you should spend on every car is for the 250 cr "virgin oil change". Then do not buy anything else before you buy at least T2s.

I didn't buy T2s for ages...I got a full racing transmission and an NA2 before I got the T2s...;) I think the T2 tires weren't really needed for me until I got a little further in the game than the first few races like Clubman and Sunday.

<----------------- Is the car I used for the beginner Turbo Race...

Simply kept winning the Midfield II with the Meen Green Miata, then I had enough money for the car and a Stage 1 Turbo. A closer race this way, with the Miata, it was too loose around the corners in SSR11.
