Can someone teach me how to Drift/Tandem, and someone that could send me a
car that is really good for Tandem Drifting.

My PSN ID: pauloofthelight

^ What they said, but, I'd like to give a tip;

Be prepared for a LOT of Toe/Heel or, version of it on DS3 :)
(I'm on DS3, so it's Mid thumb/Tip of thumb :P)

There really are no tips for tandeming. Just follow the leader's line. It's all practice.

I agree practice does make perfect. In my own way how i got good at it was using the AE86 regular in drift lobby's and tried to keep up with my partner sideways. The Hachi Roku is a magnificent car when it comes to drifting. It's not really a matter of using the leader's line becuz when they gotta make a correction so do u, but then in the beginning stage one learns this. As for me i drift opposite to who's ever leading.

Most of the time I'm in practice mode for the ghost to improve my tandem issues. Go ahead and try it.

Yesss I do this all the time. Best way in my opinion.

I forgot to add another tip, VERY important in my opinion;

The follower(s) always have to take a wider line, or this will happen:

(granted in this case probably the leader went off line, but I think you get the point)
Very true. Also, if there is someone behind you dont slam on the brakes or make sudden moves. Although it seems kind of obvious.

You sir(s)/madam(s) are confused. Sorry but if it's not a battle and both drivers wish to drift with each other, then the lead car goes wide. Furthermore, if the lead car is not going wide then you just follow them inside. This does not mean you have to go off line to make room for the chase car, but the lead car should provide enough room for the follow car. However, if it is a battle follow the racing line unless otherwise specified.

Edit: In a public room be more courteous and leave a bigger gap in between the cars

Great job at stealing posts. Providing a link to it, would be much more courteous.

A chase car should take lines depending on the grip, and power levels of his car compared to the lead car. If he is slower, stay on the same lines with a tad less angle. If he is faster, copy the angle, but take a tad wider line.

Difference of opinion but i think if your car is faster and you know how to control it then you can take the same line as the lead car.

EDIT: :O HI DOM!

Guys, if you could take this discussion to the thread I linked I'd very much appreciate it.

Keeping all discussion of the topic in the one thread makes it easier for people to find the information and reduces clutter 👍

Again that thread is here. Cheers!

This I can agree with, yes.

This, in a tandem, is completely wrong. In 2 way tandems, it's possible to correct and make it fit again, but I see people doing this stuff with cars behind them...

Always remember, try to stay on the line of the leader. Where his rear tires are, so should yours be. If you crawl inside to much, people behind you will get in trouble. And it looks horrific.

Just so it becomes obvious ;) But this would not have happened if the creator of the OP would have checked the tandem drifting threads in the first place...

Edit: A leader can go off line indeed. But this is no reason for the chaser, not to follow them. (Unless it's a comp.)

Obvious ? Yes. Obvious;
I posted a LINK to that picture, the autor of the thread that contains that LINK is here, the picture itself is on a thread on THIS forum.
I'm not exactly a forum tools expert (as you can see by my number of posts and registrations date), you do understand that ? And I sure don't need to "steal" pictures,
I provided a LINK to show the picture, not the thread itself, to make a point.
That's all. Sorry to the AUTOR of the pic if that was ... unapropriate.
(I still don't know how to do that link the way you did btw)

not just follow the other car's line but learn to anticipate the other driver's line by watching when he tends to start the drift, where they tend to end up after the corner (if it on the inside or outside), also take into effect what car theyre driving and the natural tendencies of that car (example: heavier cars tend to miss the clipping point and slide out towards the outer edge of the track so....you drift/aim towards an inside line and bam and beautifully tandemed corner. u can get better faster with someone who is consistent with their lines but to become real good u gotta tandem with alot of random people so to learn how others play and never fall into repeative/predictible line. i guess this is comng more from a competitive stand point.

but as for a car for practicing, since you have to modify your driving style to match/suit your partner it has to be a vehicle which can be adapt to their style so its easier to do with a car with a high degree of control and isnt too heavy/oversteer happy and for me i find the the RE Amemiya D1 rx7 can compete very well against cars with up to 600-700hp depending on the other driver's skills and i only use the stock turbo on it which gives it....450, light weight is a weapon in itself :) heed these words and practice practice practice

I've linked the correct thread to have this discussion twice now =/
