Meh Delayed opening and had our lunches switched with the 6th graders since they needed to finish the Parcc. Took a test in Health and had a sub for History, Math and L/A were boring but ight

I still Got 2 more weeks of Parcc testing but I only have it the last second to last week of March -_-

Speaking of PARCC testing, that thing is INSANE! Yesterday, we took a practice version which included 16 Reading/English questions. Nearly every question had two parts to it. Each question had an essay to be read. Then there were 3 essay response questions where we write our own essay about the topic they give us. The questions were worded so complexly as if everyone has a PhD.

Exactly and when we took our practice test, We were all like  then our teacher told us to just look at the format and don't worry about the questions. So We just put Swagyolo420blazeit for the answers

When the real thing comes around they might as well call it the FAIL test.

If our whole school fails it (we probably will) then we'll probably go back to the NJASK but I'm taking the Science Ask this year sooo that'll be the only easy test.

Hey, if 70% of NY failed I don't see NJ or us doing any better.

I'm glad that I don't have to suffer through the PARCC (perks of being a senior :sly:), but I feel really bad for everyone else that has to take it. I really hope that everyone purposely tried to fail the test, just to spite the test creators and say "This 🤬 doesn't work."

I have an archery meet to go to today at my school. Hopefully I do better than last time.

I'm practicing for a basketball game today.......

Did I mention it was against fire fighters?

Did I mention I am terrible at Basketball?

Did I mention that my entire family is going to be there?

Yeah, I'm screwed
At least you don't take the Parcc

So I had to pick my classes for next year, and signed up for this "Dual Enrollment" thing, where I get to take 2 years of college classes for free while I'm still in high school and it counts as a credit for both High School and College.
Only problem now is I have to take the Compass test, and I have no Idea how hard it is.

On another subject, my software class helped edit this video for my student government for the AASC, and it turned out pretty good. Just nothing screams "Academically focused" like party scenes, though.

Well, after knowing him since kindergarten, my best friend has decided to shun me from his life. I had been noticing that he would rather hang out with his younger brothers friends than me. He even forgot I was at his house a few days ago (like i was at his house and he left and acted like I wasn't even there). I told him that it hurt me that he would rather hang out with his bros friends. Pretty much told me tough luck. This is going to make school harder to bear because I have a few classes with him...

Man it just makes me think on how we have so many idiots in the world....

Isn't he quite rude?

IMO he did you a favor. People like that don't deserve to be with you and your time.

I can attest I'm going through something like this as well. It's really not fun :indiff:

It definitely isn't fun...

The fact that it came out of the blue like that is what really gets me. He has been the best friend anyone could ask for till this past month.
It happens though, I hardly talked to my friends and then I just started out of nowhere. Sooner or later some sense will pop in, trust me ;)

I had the same situation happen to me years ago. The only way it'll get better is with time.

On one hand, it sucks. On the other, while I am doing fine right now, that guy who shunned me is now in prison and has been in and out of jail for a while before he got sent to prison.

I'm still friends with one kid from Elementary school (mainly because I am terrible at friend making, even today). We're not tight, but we're still good friends. Everyone else, interests and what we had in common changed, and we stopped hanging out together.

But that. That's cold. He's being a Major Douche. You don't need people like that in your life.

In other, antic-y high school events, next week is PARCC testing. I'm a senior, so it doesn't affect me at all. But I'm trying to decide if I should do something eventful for lunch. I'm either going to have my dad drop wings off, or I'm gonna bring in my George Foreman, my Milkshake Maker, and my Deep fryer and just go to town cooking. I'm leaning towards option two.

I was also talked about in a Psychology class, something about "dressing in pajamas and slippers" and being weird can be two different things depending on the person. I am special.

Just a show of "hands" how many seniors we got here and what college decisions have you made? (If you plan to attend college)
I'm going to Northern Illinois.

*Raises hand*

I'm planning on going to community college for two years, then hopefully transferring to another school to finish.
