The only time I had teachers play music in class during my senior year was gym since my class was the only one in there at the time. That, and on Fridays, my accounting teacher would play music. Although speaking of accounting, my whole March was spent doing an NCAA tournament bracket and updating it in that class. It was the easiest project ever.

Huh. The teachers I have usually don't do that. Though I think my art teacher did. But it's been a while since I've actually taken art. The only time I remember another teacher putting on music was when sometime in November or December, my chemistry teacher wanted to put on Christmas music, and most students were okay with it, but then she couldn't find the cable for her phone. I'm not sure if Last Christmas was on the phone.

I forgot to mention, this was about 20-30 minutes before school started.

Just a show of "hands" how many seniors we got here and what college decisions have you made? (If you plan to attend college)
I'm going to Northern Illinois.
Going to Valencia in Oviedo Florida

Today my friends have shown me lots of support for a decision I have made. I've decided to change my name. Changing it to first name: Lucas and my middle name is now Elijah. I find that more fitting than the name I was born with. On the other hand, that friend apologized to my publicly on our schools announcements. So I have decided to give him another shot. On the class front, not really enjoying civics, especially when its a full class. In Writing II we are working on our scholarship essays, and I have to say I'm struggling to write it. I just can't come up with a good way to start it.

Had a Math Test on an A (Early) Period. It was a very simple test actually if you go through some notes and revision not to mention I slept early so I could do well Psychologically wise.

Though some of my friends struggled, the wingers were fine until they got to the table questions like the Loan Table etc. Though one apparently failed because his calculator had no % option even though you could turn a % into a decimal which they've been telling us to do anyway. Though I kinda want to break free from them bar 3 as they are always either; Ignoring with attentions on Phones, Down or 🤬 about each other behind their backs but the group of friends are the only people I can really hang with and the 3 that are in the bar still have a close connection with them meaning I'll rarely see them. Not really affecting School Work but it makes School feel awkward at times.

Parrc is done tomorrow till May and then it starts all over again AND I have the Science Nj Ask! But I had Soccer Club today so it's all good but the Math Parcc we had today was some bs. :/

Heading about 250 miles tomorrow to Minot for state archery. Should be exciting.

I had a Maths C (highest Maths subject in Australian high school) exam today. It was interesting. We had some questions on De Moivre's theorem, Mathematical induction proofs, Finite difference tables, Vector applications for proofs, and some other stuff in between. I have another one coming up later on problem solving.

Does anyone else here do Maths C?

Maths C isn't even an option at my School. Its General 5.1 (non ATAR and only available in Year 12), General 5.2, Advanced and Extension.

I'm currently doing General 5.2 and moving to 5.1 in Year 12. I'm really good at Maths but the stuff I'll be learning in General 5.2 and up will be unneeded since I'm not going to Uni after Year 12. and General 5.1 is where they teach you things like Spending Money or Tax more often and at a basic level.

Spirit week begins tomorrow and the first day is pajama day! Since tomorrow is a white day I have only one class so I'll be relaxing in my pajamas in the library all day basically!

Oh yeah, remember the Basketball game against the firefighters I told ya'll about? Well, we lost
75 to 84. Our team did play really hard though.
I was in the game for a good 2 minutes. I passed the ball

Prom shall be interesting. Especially because I have no date and am going to a concert the next day. Spring Break and Senior Trip also cannot get here quick enough.

Hell, I might just bail on Prom and still go to the concert. Tickets are cheaper to the concert than to prom, plus I don't have to rent a tux (fancy clothes are the BANE of my existence), and I know for a fact there will be good entertainment. Sounds like a better win than Prom imo.

I usually never attend the "final outings" of Primary School, Year 10 and then High School. We do Formals and then Schoolies for Year 12 but I have no interest in either of them.

So I go back tomorrow. And I'm still behind in English. That is all. If there wasn't a strike at the beginning of the year, I might have not taken English Lit. At the least, I wish I had gotten the provincial exam instead of the scrapbook.

Speaking of English :p. English Studies got us our assignment of a portfolio of travel and journey. We need 5 different text about Travel and Journey and write 250 words, at least about it. While it is easy, we need to find texts from all sorts of media, already got a movie and educational book down and doing news (though don't know on what) next and then, maybe a novel. Still can't find a 5th Piece of Text.

Thankfully we do this in class time so I can practice for my drama performance at home. It'll be my first so I'm a bit nervous but my partner who did it in 9 and 10 is taking it a bit harder.

If you're doing a news piece, I would suggest a feature article of some kind, rather than a traditional news story.

I would also suggest getting your hands on a travel guide, like the Lonely Planet series.

Why does my Spring Break have to be in two weeks?
Ironically, I have Autumn Holidays in 2 weeks :p

I was thinking that too, an article would likely give me more to right about.

The senior class president was going around tallying the people that were dressed up for the first day of spirit week. He came into my homeroom and my friend and I raised our hands. He points to me and says sophomore. I just shook my head and said senior. He couldn't believe he got that wrong. After he left my homeroom teacher looks at me and says that's cold bro. I still can't believe that he called me a sophomore.

Does your school have IDs that identify a Senior by chance @Astroboy2215? My high school always gave seniors a gray colored ID while everyone else got another color as a quick way to identify a senior.

You guys have to wear IDs?
When I was still in high school, it was a requirement to have our IDs on a lanyard around our necks at all times. The only exception to that was if someone was in gym class. Those who didn't have their IDs could either get written up or sent home outright.

Jeez. That's a bit harsh. Then again, I have no idea what your school's neighborhood/location is like.

They tried to make us have our IDs present on us for a week, but that never worked out in the end.

What is Sophomore? My School goes from Twelvies (7 and 8) > Juniors (9 and 10) > Senior (11 and 12)
