Finished Maths 3 years ago and now I find out what that meant!

I hate everyone in my grade right now. Not enough people wanted to go on the end of year trip, so it got canceled.

D.C. is very nice. Sorry to hear that you won't be going.

Eh, it's not the location that got me bummed about not going, it's the fact that we would be gone for 3 days. In 1st grade, I promised myself that I would never miss a field trip. To me, a canceled field trip is the same as missing one.

Right? I'd get a kick out of that.

Coming up with your own meanings for abbreviations (I know there's a word for that but I forgot what it was) is a really effective method of learning something. The only reason I remember the Kingdom-Phylum-Class-Order-Family-Genus-Species thing from biology freshman year is because of the acronym my brother came up with for it.

AH, but it's not really a field trip, because field trips (are supposed to, in theory,) entail going for the express purpose of learning something for the class the field trip is associated with. Since the trip is not associated with any one course and you would be going for the sole purpose of going, seeing the sights and having fun, I don't think it qualifies as a "field trip", so your record remains untarnished.

I am just wondering for fun, who is constantly asked questions by other students for answers? It is so 🤬 annoying. I usually give them the wrong answer or close to the right answer. Or I just answer with a lot of ambiguity.

Congrats, you're spreading ignorance. Which you will later, and likely currently, complain about.

Yay you, being e-thug.

Or you could direct them to the teacher. Deliberately giving them the wrong answer is not cool.

But it is the same predictable bunch of people who

1. Wouldn't socialize with certain people at all.
2. Always ask for help and "Wait, what are we doing again?"
3. Constantly find distractions to keep themselves away from work.
4. Get horrid grades and don't care.

So why should I help them? I feel sorry for them? I care bundles for them? No, I want them out of my hair so I can concentrate on the task at hand.

Directing them to the teacher, do you mean inform them of the situation or ask the teacher for help?

For fun? I might sympathize a tiny bit if they were asking questions that could otherwise be answered if they paid attention to the teacher for just a second, but for fun? No.

You're not being much of a better person if you lie to them. At the very least, tell them to stop bothering you and ask the teacher.

- "Sorry bro, I don't know the answer."

- "This is what I got, [show them what you got] but I wouldn't copy it 'cause it's probably wrong"

- "Dude! I'm gonna' be nice and help you out :)"

Randomly rotate between these three. Add profanities as needed based on friend type. Rinse and repeat. Lying and being mean about something as pointless as this is not cool

I'm one of the people who's on both ends of this (often within the same class). And I often ask "Wait, what the 🤬 are we supposed to do" to a friend. They take 30 seconds out of their day to explain. I thank them. Later on I help them out when they get confused, and it repeats. Cooperation is good, and so us being nice :)

Do many kids at your schools do drugs, such as marijuana, or drink or smoke cigarettes? It seems like 80% of my school does. Every single day, I hear people talk about it. It's so frustrating. I feel like one of the few kids who cares about my health and the laws.

Maybe this would be against the AUP? But seeing as I am not talking about doing it myself it's different? Mods, please let me know if it's not okay.

Virtually everyone from Year 10 up drinks. A fair few smoke. Some of them do drugs, but usually I only see what they get up to at school, and not at home.

I'm sure a good handful drink. A few smoke. And there was this one student who did drugs in school and did them all throughout the summer. :/

Smokers and drinkers in my high school? Been there, done that. I couldn't believe the dropping morality in here >.> There were 3 that smoke pot. They beat up a cousin of my best friends. It's a good thing they were expelled.

Also I hate homework. Thank goodness my vacation started a week ago... I'm definitely going to enjoy extracurricular summer classes.

I'm looking forward to my senior years too. Case studies, having a cousin studying with me, and being a senior itself. It's gonna rock. My crush graduated though, I guess I'm gonna experience what she has been through throughout the entire school year
