PatrickYour parents are stupid.
Let's be less straightforward. Never call parents stupid, they're probably doing it for a reason.
To get other kids sick so that they won't have to feel alone? Sorry, but I have very little sympathy for parents who force their kids to school when they're sick.Let's be less straightforward. Never call parents stupid, they're probably doing it for a reason.
It depends on how sick my kids are. Coughing, runny nose, etc. but not running a fever and not contagious? You're going to school. To get other kids sick so that they won't have to feel alone? Sorry, but I have very little sympathy for parents who force their kids to school when they're sick.
I'd say they're stupid. By letting their child attend classes whilst they're sick, they're not only compromising the health of any kids that associate with the sick child, but the sick child's learning is compromised, due to, well, being sick. If they were smart, they'd keep them at home and fuss over them and make sure they get a quick recovery. In my opinion, at least.![]()
If the kid is non-contagious, as you said, then I wouldn't mind them going to school. But if the kid is constantly coughing, especially when he's right behind you in class, it becomes really annoying to the point where I almost wanted to punch the guy.It depends on how sick my kids are. As a NP and a former ER nurse, my wife is worse than I am. As she's seen virtually everything there is to see, it comes as no surprise that no matter how bad you feel, you're still breathing, can see and can walk so you're fine. No sympathy at all.![]()
In that case, as the father of a child with Cystic Fibrosis (fyi - CF'ers as a general rule cough a lot, even when they're not "sick"), please don't.But if the kid is constantly coughing, especially when he's right behind you in class, it becomes really annoying to the point where I almost wanted to punch the guy.![]()
Heh, don't worry. I can pick out the goods and the bads. I mean, one of the factors that made me mad at this particular kid is that he barely tries in class (it's only the fourth week of school and I can already tell), so I guess there's a bit of history that makes me mad at him.In that case, as the father of a child with Cystic Fibrosis (fyi - CF'ers as a general rule cough a lot, even when they're not "sick"), please don't.![]()
Idiot kids who go to school when they are clearly sick. Ugh... can't stand them.
