There is no such thing as an autumn break at my school. =(

But we do have early dismissals Wednesday and Thursday, with no school Friday, so that's a plus, I guess.

What is all this talk of breaks?!!!

I don't get any ;(

I only get 3 days for Thanksgiving this year. Every other year I've been in school, I've had a whole week :(.

The only day that our school has been out all year is Labor Day. Our school is getting about a week off for Christmas this year.

5 Days for Thanksgiving
11 Days for Christmas
5 Days for President's Day
Unknown Spring Break (Have to see how many Snow Days we use first)

Well it's technically 3 weeks and then the 4th is project week where you have to spend about 30 hours researching and doing a project on some topic but it's still 4 weeks off of school

5 days for Thanksgiving, I think.
2 weeks for Christmas.
1 week for Spring Break.
And we get out around May 25th or so.

I don't know how tall I am in them hoity toity measurements. I know I'm taller than one of my friends, but not as tall as my dad's Land Cruiser (about 5 - 10 cm's shorter).

And about time off, THREE MONTHS STARTING MID EARLY NOVEMBER!!! And 3 exams throughout November. Then I'm off until February. :sly: By now I think many of you realize why I'm off for so long, unless you are unfamiliar with the NZ and Australian school year system.

It's your summer vacation, right?

Yeah, the time where I eventually wake up in the afternoon and go to sleep at 3 AM, along with many other teenagers all on the same break. I still think that it is strange for America and the like to start the school year in the middle of an actual year, sort means there is two starts to one year, the start of the year and the school year.

Australia doesn't start it's summer break until the week before Christmas.

Well it doesn't officially start until then here in NZ, but it technically is break for me because I only have 3 exams (one of them I know I'm going to fail anyway).

In my country High School is University or a College. I'm currently in the 12th year in school, after the exams I will most likely wont be able to afford high school and will sweep streets for the rest of my life.

Okay my biology teacher is an utter simpleton, she's teaching us like we're year 3 when we're all predicted C-A grades, in this month I have learnt nothing from her and everyone in my class agrees. Today she went on about environment and how we have to 'watch out' for the n ()... she then proceeded to misspell it in the learning objective. :dunce:
Also she starts every lesson with a wordsearch (wait what the hell) apparently to help with word recognition... I CAN READ WOMEN! :grumpy:
There's more but I think this has been a sufficient rant.

Also was off last Tuesday due to my mum being critically ill and having to call a doctor, then I was ill with a cold on Thursday and Friday (her illness wasn't contagious) spent those two days and the weekend playing Skyrim in my pyjamas

School is going well, as well as school can go. History coursework is done, and that pain is gone! Though university applications are now the pressing issue. Writing a personal statement is oddly self revealing, but it is hard not to be pompous, whilst at the same time selling yourself

I just found out I have 11 days off on Christmas break and about a week on Thanksgiving break!! Yay!!

Today in form I was given a photo of my friend's boyfriend wearing a bra and another photo of him wearing a dress.

Eeyup.

I'm on exam leave as of today :sly:.
I've got 9 exams though :guilty:

Getting my report cards for Term I on the 29th apparently. I've already gotten my marks for Social Studies and Science, which are roughly 84 and 87 percent respectively. Not too bad. And we had a math test today, which came as a surprise to me. Its arrival was made clear as we were just given a chapter review, yet somehow I didn't notice. So I didn't study, not that I ever study for Math anyway. And today, when I arrived in class, a student mentions the test, and I'm somehow surprised. At least it wasn't hard for me. 27 questions, 20 or so I had to do without a calculator. I got it done early anyway. So everything worked out fine. I'm just glad I don't suck at math.
