    NOTE: By now many of you know that I am a fan of the manga/anime series Initial D. Like many other fans of the series, I am saddened by the fact that the series is at it's end. The manga has already been completed and there are only two or three episodes left in the anime. So, I've decided to create my own tribute tune to this amazing machine and hero car of the series, the Sprinter Trueno AE86 or 'The Ghost of Mt. Akina'.

    The 8-6 tune was focused more on handling in corners than it was for straight line speed. Very little understeer into corners and oversteer can be initiated easily by going full throttle for a second or two. Braking can be a bit tricky going to corners so spend some time learning good braking points and techniques.

    The transmission stock was a bit too short when the engine was given a little more power. Now, it can race around the Nurburgring without worry of topping out. Adjusting the final gear is all that is needed for different tracks.

    The LSD was tuned to let only a small of wheelspin be know. After about half an hour of testing just this setting the car can go nearly full throttle through corners without heating up it's tires with the power boost.
    This helps the car be incredibly smooth into corners and achieve maximum speed out of them.

    Last, but not least, the engine. I couldn't resist leaving the engine alone with all this work done. Adding the extra power to the engine really helped bring the car alive. It shows how much extra potential this car has against others with greater power. On a side-note, I was considering to install a turbo but I nearly killed myself after that thought.

    Initial D was and still is a great inspiration to me and my dreams. I will surely miss it and all the joy it has brought me over the years. I hope this 8-6 tune will be good enough to be a tribute to this great piece of art.

    Believe me, you can get WAY more points after a bit of practice. I think it's one of my best drift tunes ever and it's exactly why this is my personal rocket. Have fun with her! :D

    Tuning for seasonals now. I assume you mean the 4WD Drift Trial for the Veyron, yes? Does it have to be the Veyron? :lol: I was waiting for a real track and grip tune for car.

    Just did the drift trial and I got around the 15,xxx point mark after a few attempts. :sly:

    I don't really do replicas my friend. I wouldn't know where to start the research to find all the important information. There are some garages out there that do replica tunes so maybe you can branch out to one of those to help you out. :)

    In fact, here is one I visit often for when I want to have fun.

    Here is a tune for the Elise RM for tarmac. It was for a seasonal event a while back but most of my tunes are still beasts on other tracks. :)

    And here is an Elise 111R for you to have fun with while you wait for the Elise '96.

    NOTE: This car reminds me why I don't use Improve Body Rigidity. :lol: Experiment with your lines, braking points, and acceleration points with this tune. I ended up taking slower lines, further back braking points, but went full throttle through corners and was able to catch up to some friends at the top of the leader board. A few things to be careful about, this car suffers from some understeer because of the increased body rigidity and if you get on the throttle too soon there will be noticeable wheelspin and some drifting. Take a few laps to get used to the tune, adjust as needed, and attack the time trial!

    NOTE: If you haven't drifted 4WD here is a basic run down, keep the throttle pinned and just steer! Letting off the gas could cause the car to whip the other direction, hint hint. Scandinavian Flick (S.F.)the Evo into the first sector, going into the second sector do another S.F. with the help of the E-Brake and when you get to the transition let off the gas a bit to get around the S corner. For the last sector, repeat the first sector. :D

    :confused: Hi I'd like to Request a tune please. Nissan gtr35 touring car. 600pp/650pp for medium compact circuits. Ie deep forest. Cape ring periphery. Race hard tyres. Weight is a bit of an issue as is Understeer . This is my problem at the moment it seems to take ages when exiting a corner before I can go full throttle. I'm using a g27 wheel. I'm in no rush as it's work in progress. It's not the best car in its class I just like it
    But it's a bit of a fatty. :cheers:
