I managed to do it on a-spec but my bob doesnt seem able to do it on b-spec even in my tuned ferrari 330 p4, any tips of setup or different car to use? :(

I put the high-RPM turbo on it, and tweaked the suspension a little. Gave it some camber and, IIRC, a little toe-out. You might also want to play with the transmission a little to see whats best. 👍

I don't have the Toyota 7 yet, but I noticed that the mid-rpm turbos usually give the most torque then the the other turbos. Does the added torque help Bob, or is top end power the name of the game?

I figured that a track like Deep Forest will favor a car with more torque than more power because of its twists and turns.

Does anybody have a definitive tuning setup for the Toyota 7 Race Car on Côte D'Azur for my Bob? He spends most of his time bouncing off the rev limiter and I'm pretty sure there is just an assortment of valve springs and fragmented metal where his face used to be. Also, at least once per race, he attempts to copulate with the Armco at the chicane after the tunnel. Any help or advice would be very welcome indeed.

This.. Definitely this. My guy would ace the race in my Toyota 7 if it wasn't for this.

I've even tried getting the car to understeer to make sure he steers clear, but to no avail..

I'm beginning to think it's just down to dumb luck.

Setting the transmission's final gear ratio of the Toyota 7 to get a max. speed of 270kph seems to improve his chances.
Still trying to win this one as well, sadly :ouch:

Thanks for all the help chaps. Just noticed the tyre restriction is Racing Medium. I've bought a set and I'll let you know how it all goes!

My problem with this race is only on B-Spec Race in Monaco (Cote Da'zure).
The Toyota 7 in this track is really bad... Even the AI Toyota 7 at the end of this race is always LAST Place and I really can't past 5th place...

Can someone help me with the settings for me to win this race?

With the Chaparral I would've won it but... It's VERY rare to find and the only time I found it I didn't had the money to buy it (around 15 million or more I think). :S!

Managed to do it with a Toyota 7 with racing medium tyres and turbo charge.
Didnt make any changes to the cars settings but you need to improve your Bob's level to be able to do it (or at least i did) he did it at level 22 and the corner he is abit too fond of and likes to crash into you might want to decrease pace just before he starts to break on that bit! :)
Thankyou for all the tips, keep them coming for people who havnt yet managed to do this event!

Finally managed to win with the Toyota 7. :sly:

I used the setup suggested by damaged_case.

I was also greatly helped by the 2J crashing. I would suggest restarting (if you can be arsed) until you start in front of it.

I also made sure to have my guy (lvl 22 by the way) in the blue everytime he got to the chicane after the tunnel. He seems to cut the corner a little bit too much if he's in the red, thus crashing into the barrier... silly AI.

YEAH!!! After what has at least cost me two years of my life, I finally won!

Used the abovementioned setup with a few tweaks. Got a bit lucky at the start (or should i say, the start was like I would've driven :)) and was already second behind the 2J at the Louwes hairpin. I overtook him on the next lap and got a decent lead, but the 2J did some überlaps and took it from me again going into lap 5.
While shouting and cursing at Bob I lost a lot of time, but started to regain at lap 7. Starting to believe again I kept pushing and at Casino he finally decided to dive into the open space and overtook the 2J! The NASCAR championship was peanuts compared to this :)

A strategy for passing cars other than the Chaparral 2J:
Start attacking at the apex of the final corner (when close enough, Bob will dive to the inside)
When only a few car lengths behind, try the overtake command on the hill after the first turn. Mostly Bob won't do any good overtaking, but he will be very close, so press overtake again right after. The corner before Loewes hairpin, the job should be done. The rest of the lap I slow down when taking the turn before the tunnel, and if necessary before the chicane after it. Make sure Bob doesn't try to overtake someone at the chicane, as this will 90% chance lead to an ambrace with the barriers. Rest of the lap just enjoy the scenery :)

Hopes this helps someone!
