Very happy with this season boys. Had lots of fun racin with you guys. Better yet every season my driving skills seem to double! So when are you gunna start with the new thread? Already go some ideas of what I'm racing and some power and weight suggestions for g2 modern cars.

Excellent racing all season long fellas! Before I gloat, I must admit, I ran my favorite car while Skeletor ran an 'experimental' choice...having said that...I 🤬'n beat him!!! sorry, had to let that out.

Anyone happen to save teh Photo OP race? I went to look at it and niether it, or the two Modern Trans Am Races I saved are there.

I need a photo of our cars, perferblu in sepia tone in front of the Daytona Speedway deal. Need the Angle to be about the same as the last one (see first page) Or if anyone knows how to send me the replay...?

I think you can send replays the same way you send race pics via psn, however, I was much to busy doing victory donuts to remember to save anything.

Wonderful season everyone! I had a great time. Even though I was a little disappointed in the GT40. It started out well, but I think the lack of practice with it and not showing up half the time is the main reason. Mudd did a great job being consistent and showing up for every race. Definitely deserves the 3rd spot. 1 point separating G2 class made it very interesting.

Final standings are up.
Soon as I'm done having issues with photobucket........

That means prize time! Kal and Titus (and myself) each get to pick a ticket : '63, '65, '66, '67, '69, '70, '71

And Kal, Skel and Titus each also get to pick either a Modern Muscle or Classic Muscle ticket.

You guys can send me a PM with your choices or I will message you on PSN the day of the send. Congrats! :gtpflag::cheers::gtpflag:

Just to mention, I have 81 pts in GI not 67, it puts me up one more spot. Thanks.....

Oops, corrected.
I should probably figure out a way to do this from home. Doing this at work is forcing me to divide my attention. Doesn't help when I have the slowest computer in the office either.

I'm going to change up the scoring slightly next season.
3 points for pole.
no bonus points for finishing. <--the point of that was to encourage people into not droping out mid-race, instead it just hurt the guys who got disconnected adding insult to injury.

Great season everyone!

Time for season accolades.

::snip::

Most improved driver of the season goes to:
undoubably, GTP_CAMikaze in G1
(4.75 ave. finish 1st half. 3.5 ave. finish 2nd half. with a 2nd & 3rd place finishes)
I think we would have seen same results in G2, but I think the superbird held him up.
I would have gone with a Lemon/Lime or SubLime theme for my Season 2 effort, but I had a 'Bird that I received as a gift for a possible run on the Daytona SuperSpeedway in the original season that I didn't want to go to complete waste. Needless to say the other choice for a Group 2 car was the '70 Challenger.

It'll be interesting to see what the car lineups for the next season is going to be when they're released. I already have both RM'd 'Vettes at the ready, but if there only was a RM-able '08 Challenger to run, that would be even better. :)

Now that I think of it, if I had won either race in the last half of the season, I probably would have butchered a line made famous by the fighter once known as Cassius Clay when he won the heavyweight title.

"I'm a baa-aaa-aaa-aaad man!"

And that would be saying it as though I was a ram like the one in the Dodge logo.:dopey:

Fair warning fellas, I am thinking of more laps per race, aka at least 35 minute race per track.

I am also going to include tracks people love, and people hate. The deal with next season is to get uncomfortable. To be in new positions and new areas to test our abilities. AKA Cote D Azure will be in there. Even as much as I hate it. But let's be honest. We all hated Sport Softs at first and now look back at how we enjoy that class!

Some time in middle of week or so on my day off I will be doing some testing, I need to get Avg Lap times at several Tracks. Next Season should be a bit longer as well.

I personally do not know what cars I will run. Skel shows that GT40 is a handful but I'm wanting to try it out myself.

Also, this weekend, we will not be racing but I would invite everyone to show up for testing on the Modern Trans Am Stock Body group to help determine a good HP/Weight restrictions to make everything good.

And again, anyone save that replay of the Photo OP?

hello every one great season and a lot of fun too. Lets start talking about the next season I want to know what cars and what tyres we will use.to prepare for it , thanks to all for the good and the bad

Way ta go with the honorable mention Cam! Sorry Kal, I really didn't think to save anything last night, we may have to do photo op again next weekend.

I'm sure the 'hated' tracks will become more appealing after some practice time on them. Bad experiences with the Historic Cup have tainted our opinions of 'Cote'.

I'm interested to hear what cars everyone is contemplating for their Season 3 choices. My Modern choice is obviously a Camaro, although I'm torn between the LM and RM, still leaning towards RM. I've been testing the Super Bee for street class. Lack of abundant choices for Vintage G1 have me contemplating running a Challenger RM, I don't feel as though I provided my Chally with the finishes it deserves in season 1, the other possibility being the ZO6.

Here is a foundation set up for Season III

Laps on the courses, I am wanting each race to last perhaps 30 minutes long. So I need everyone if you can give me some avg lap times for these tracks so I can figure out laps needed.

That's it so far..............

Wow. You really been putting some thought into this. As much as I despise a few of those tracks, I think they will really even out our field of racers as we don't tend to run them every single time we our online like we do the previous track layout.

As far as needing votes, Indy Indy Indy Indy...not sure if that really counts for more then one vote, but....

Well, I want us to become "uncomfortable" sort of speak. We can practically drive all the old tracks with any car and do extremely well. I hate Cote as much as the next person but you know what. The saying what does not kill you makes you stronger. And I want to apply this logic to our series.

I also do not plan on using any track with "No Chicanes" I want to do it the hard way. As this series grows I want it to become increasingly more difficult to perform on the level we are use too.

I personally like Daytona but I know the two are there and therefore ask for vote to be casted in their favor for what ever one they want.

I'm in favor of that schedule. It has a good balance of small technical tracks & big wide open tracks, & a few in between. I'd like to see Daytona Road in place of SSR5. Being that it's an "actual" track, and we got to have at least one other track in there we all like. Most of us anyway.

Lets do Sarth in the rain. And/or at night....... not because it's easy, but because it's hard. If that's the direction we want to go. I'm for it.

Also, I think a pp system for modern G2 would be best. It would be Ford GT & Corvette show all season otherwise.

Personally Ive been testing the Gll modern and I like 530-550 HP and around 1300 kgs. I also think(Mudd is gunna like this one) the Mustang is an absolute pig! May I suggest the SVT to be put on the list also.EDIT: Just averaged the weights out and it averages out to around 1600 which is pretty heavy. So maybe 1400 would be good. I don't know just making so suggestions.

For the record, I have yet to drive the premium Mustang, but as much as I hate to admit it, the SVT Cobra Mustang is on my favorites list, and it's very competitive with my PP limited '10 Camaro.

I was looking at the figures last night and was thinking of dropping the Viper ACR, Viper SRT 10, Vette Zr1 and Ford GT all because they are above the 511HP limit. But then that makes the field even smaller. Upping the HP will only make the cars worse on the sport softs.

I want SS5 because I want a night race really. And I know for sure no one here is going to do Nurb at night so... I was considering adding a rain to the idea, but was unsure. I figured I was pushing it with the Cote Track but hey if everyone is okay with it why not!

Well, The idea is to have all the car able to have the same Weight and HP, or extremely close. I cannot have a 1400kg Vette racing a 1500kg Challenger and call it fair. As I said, the whole thing needs fine tuning and was just a foundation to start with.

For the record, I have yet to drive the premium Mustang, but as much as I hate to admit it, the SVT Cobra Mustang is on my favorites list, and it's very competitive with my PP limited '10 Camaro.

I just do not want to do a pp limited Modern class. but if we have to we have to.

I like the HP and weight limits on the race cars cause they all handle pretty equal. I'm concerned that the street cars may leave handling advantages with that setup though. Would a PP limit work better for street? Giving the less handling cars a little more power to make up for it?

I guess I havnt done any testing with a HP/weight limit on the street cars though. I'll have to try it, maybe the weight part would make them handle competitive.

G2 - 510pp Sports Softs (lower pp to make equal with the Vintage Class - bc they're like 50yrs older)
Add the SVT (I wish there were more than Chevy's -but Ford sucks, so maybe thats why PD left them out lol)
Keep your track list
I vote for Daytona Road (I have a chance at this one)
And I would like to see Sarthe 2009 w/ chicanes in Rain
Could take out Tokyo (a lot of us do know it, I believe) & SSR5 (I do like it though)

Keep the Hp & Kg restrictions for G1
A low pp with sports softs should do it for G2

I agree, the ZR1 is a little too much, along with the ACR, & the Ford GT (practically an exotic). Yea, the field gets a little smaller, but there's still several corvettes, vipers, & fords to choose from. The SS tires will be quite a challenge at the higher hp/pp limits. We could go with a RH tire or RM, RS. But I like the SS tires on the street cars though.

PP system will also help balance out some of the crappy cars such as the mustangs.. yea, I said it..

Sarth is an option for a night time race.

Oh, I almost forgot, didn't I mention this on July 25th (330th post)?

. . . Anyone who mentions Manoco (cote d azur), will be immediately kicked off the league... Just kidding.... not really....

I want to keep Tokyo, since it is kinda the last stop in Japan. I want SSR as a night race, and La Sarth as a Rain race. I highly doubt we can do Rain and Night at the same time. I know I can't!

PP limit for GII in Modern can work, Just need to test a good number.

Man...night race, rain race, Monaco, you guys are trying to make me hate this game, ain't ya?!? Nah, you can't drag me away from it. I think PP limit in G2 is the way to go, we gotta decide on the highest posable tolerable limit though, IMO, I love trying to control these monsters right on the edge of tire grip.

I also like the PP system. Been doing some testing lately and it males the competition way more fair. But 510 as someone mentioned above is way too low. You have to adjust the power limiter on the GT to 65% which massively effects the car power curve. So I'm going to purpose 530 or 550 to be a fair PP number.

I can get my 06 Z06 in at 550pp.. barely. (492hp, 1250kg).. The 04 Z06 goes down to around 520pp. '00 Z06 gets down to 500pp.
I think 550pp is reasonable. Or 500hp & 1300-1350kg, most cars i noticed can reduce down to around 1300. This range will open the door for wider variety of cars. What ever we decide on, I've got a Z06 that can get the job done.

see what happens Mudd when you finish in the top 3? We go and change EVERYTHING.

Yea, I really threw a wrench into the gears here, eh? As much as I like the setup we've been using so far, I really think the changes being made are gonna even up the field quite a bit. I think it's taking away some of the 'home field advantage' that a few of us have developed with this series. I'd really like to see some more names at the top throughout the season, and I think we've already got a couple names headed in that direction. The new tracks and cars we are all gonna be using should make it an even challenge for each of us.
