Also Idea, Group II can be a new-er Trans Am deal. We Run the newer cars (chevy's, ford's, mopars's etc etc. Not the Le Mans type but stock body ones.

What exactly are you meaning? Vipers and stuff like that?

Maybe we should set up a same format Modern T/A series and run it in-between seasons 2 and 3.

all this is ok with me , I like it

Mudd I love this corvette but I need some tc to drive o race it

It was just a Thought after all. I realize that having group II change will almost render the "Vintage" line out. I am just trying to please everyone really. Or atleast try too.

Also I will be hosting tomorrow night. Also expect a Practice room to be open up later on this evening.

Hey guys, today is Coolracers birthday, I'm thinkin an inbox full of useless paints would be a nice gift!

I thought I heard him say something about that but wasn't sure. Next Time I am on I'll send him some neat stuff. Maybe even a gold chrome.....

thanks Boys I am more than greatfull to be with you in this group ,57 and steel learning

Making everyone happy isn't possible. Its a good idea and I would have fun with it, but just doesn't fit into this series (which I think is great as is). Unless you want to facilitate another league.... Didn't think so. There's also plenty of leagues on this site where those cars fall under. How many vintage/historical car leagues are there?

Oh, and happy b-day to coolracer. Stand by for a "birthday gift basket" full of GT5 junk!

Yup, I remember that list. I really like the idea. If that ever gets set up apart from this league, count me in.

I do remember, Cobra. The series sounds very interesting to me, especially racing it with all you guys, but I have to agree with Skel, I'm enjoying this series too much as it is to go and change it drastically. We'll have to see how we all feel at the end of Season 2 and then discuss the modern trans am cars, I think.

If someone started up a modern series on another night I would be interested, but it might be difficult to commit to, only have so much free time. I'd probably only join if all of us were in it.

As far as tonights testing, my G2 did ok, but I see I have no chance against the Stang. If I can keep in the Chally's draft, I can run with it (but that's a big 'if'). So anyone that is concerned that their G2 cars feel slow at Indy, don't worry 'cause your gonna have company back there.:dopey:

My PS3 just "yellow lighted" while I was sitting here scrolling threads...

Alright, I'm going in...might need to borrow that revolver, Skel...

Like I said before, PS3's are like old cars, you need two of them to keep one running. And a blow torch.

Just saw you on a little bit ago, so I can only assume you were successful?

Yea, I'm back already. Had planned on racing all evening, so that left me plenty of time to rebuild a PS3.:yuck:

Mudd you hit the nail on the head, no time for another league. The reason I have not pursued the modern league is time constraints. I like the league we have and the people in it and I just don't have the committable time to run let alone manage another league, one league is all I have consistent time for.

What time we racin tonight? Thought I heard Kal say open lounge at 7, race at 8. Is that correct?

Does the Audi Pikes peak Quatro count as a truck? It the only 4x4 I can find so far. Been cycling the UCD looking for a Silverado. Until I find one, I upgraded, painted and installed a great big butt-ugly wing on the back of the Quatro. it should do for now, but rest assured I will eventually be representing Chevy for our "big truck antics"

By the way, if anyone has a Silverado they are not using and could send me, I would be happy to replace it when I do find one in the UCD

Lounge is OPen right now actually.

I have all the trucks. Tell me which one you want and I ll shoot one your way!

Also note, my buddy who sent me a corvette z06 race car, had another pop up today. I myself have never seen one.

I'll be there in bout 20 min, just finishing some brat's of the grill! I'd like the Chevy Silverado (think it's a concept) already have a z06, thanks

Just getting ready to fire up the PS3 and our Internet just went out. Will join if it comes back up.

Might not be able to make it tonight:grumpy: got some business work to take care of. On another note I just received the DLC code for a Camaro Edge '10 and I am extemely happy! If your reading this Mudd I need one of those cars I listed for my 24 ticket so I can complete the trade.

Great racin tonight guys! Those of you that missed it, don't worry, that was clearly the most uninteresting track on or schedule. There was one incident between myself and another racer tonight, I inadvertently forced him too low and caused contact with the pit wall, and I apologize. At that moment, I had taken the low line the previous two corners so I was trying to leave room up high for you to pass. By the time I realized you were going low, it was too late. I honestly did not feel any contact, or I would have slowed and given back the position. I am a clean racer, these guys will back me up on that. Thank you for not pushing the issue and spinning me, I assure you the next time we are battling for position, I will remember your courtesy.

I had fun at Indy. Could only keep up with Skeletor with the draft. At one point, I tried using the draft to pass on the finish line, testing to see if it would work. But about 70% into the race, I realized how much my right front tire was wearing so slowed down a bit. Skeletor also slowed down, but I slowed too much and lost the draft. After that it was a lonely ride to 2nd place.

At Deep Forest, I had a good run with Kal and Titus. I had fresher tires and should have gotten by Titus, but made a mistake around the tunnel and could not catch up to Titus. Good fun.

I was watching that, great effort Snoop! That's the secret with those three guys, if you can keep them watching their mirror, you've got a chance. But if they get out of your sight, it's all over. Let's hope we can continue being an annoyance in those mirrors all season, off to a great start so far!

So I got kicked out of the GI race at Indy, and was unable to save the replay or record the results. Trial Mountain I figured out how to make the Chally faster but she eats tires to much. I also forgot to save the replay and record the results.

I wish last night was better overall, but connection issues and what not kinda hampered my spirits alot. I personally think the after race activities were more enjoyable this time around. Now I need to sift through hour of replay to find some awesome photos.

Kal, by the way, I did not sign up this season, so feel free to ignore my race results for the points standing. I probably cannot get on that early every Sunday night, so I am not sure how much I can participate. To the extent I can login I will race with y'all.

At Deep Forest you took off like a rocket but your tires got the best of you. I like the race distance for the sports soft--factors tire wear into the race strategy.

I have noticed a lot of connection issues starting last Friday--I think it had to do with people downloading the free games. Hopefully lag will be less noticeable in the near distant future.

Connection issues were a downer, I suffered from them as well. Not alot we can do about that. Everyone try to remember to perform the " clear cache" function at the GT5 main menu before each Sunday's race. Not sure if it really helps, but that seems to be recommended alot across the forums.

On a personal note, the "White Lightning" #7 Z28 is feeling very solid as of late, and I've heard reports of seasonal severe weather headed strait towards the gates of Castle Greyskull...:trouble:

Snoopy, I hope you can make it to more events. It was good having you there.
The GT40 had a very good balance of handleing & power for the Indy speedway. We'll see how it does when I have to turn right too. It does have the lowest pp value out of all the other G1 cars. Whatever that means.

I also like the save the tire stradegy. I managed to do really good. Just got to be consistant and smooth.

I'll try to get the scoring and standings up by tomorrow. I'm starting to reconsider the 3 bonus points for finishing. We really didn't have anyone disconnect last season, so seeing how this played out is new. The "intent" of the 3 points for finishing is to encourage everyone to finish, thus giving everyone else more xp & cr. Being involuntarily disconnected, getting last place, and not getting the 3 points that everyone else got seems like insult to injury. I'm probably going to award the 3 points to the disconnectees, being that it wasn't anyones fault. Hopefully that would just be one of the races that gets dropped at the end of the season anyway. But you never know.

Sorry I missed last night, still no cable or internet at our house this a.m.

I was able to finalize my team though, so here you go.

Skeletor, it was real fun for me to keep up with you at Indy. I think you had about 10+mph on the Z28 RM (I had really long top gear too). In retrospect, I should have just kept in your draft and see what happens with the tire, since I noticed you were backing off in the turn also. That race took a lot of thinking for me. I'm sure you noticed at one point where I passed you (with the draft of course) at start/finish, as I was trying to decide whether I can even try for the win or not. After that test, I basically just coasted in the wake as much as I can. But those turns 1 $ 3 chewed up the RF tire. I think Kal mentioned that you had rear tire wear? Anyway, lesson learned for me for sure. Next time, I am going for the win or nothing else. Ha.

Does the GT40 have a lower pp than the Z28 RM?
