History Repeats itself...

I have been a surveyor of GTP for well over a year, and I've noticed just a few great changes over the time, but the facts remain. That history repeats itself. Take for instance, the beloved Rumble Strip. Already I have noticed a thread contemplating the other threads within the Strip, which I've seen atleast 4 times already. I've also noticed many series' of love strewn threads, which always seem to have the same basic topic in mind (kind of weird). Some threads haven't changed (the desktops thread is always there), but (pretty much), I've seen the same style of threads come up, and then pass away into the depths of the strip. I just kind of see it as a funny occurance... just like this thread I've just made.

Does anyone else find this amusing?
Do you think it's gonna change?
Penny for your thoughts...

It's human psychology ( Is that the word?) people will always post what they want, when they want.. Am i making sense?

I wouldn't say it's the human psyche (shortened version of psychology), Mdnite. It's just that topics disapear and since people have a way of repeating themselves, it gets reposted, and therefore, it has completed everything full cycle.

oosacker, how is the strip changing? I've seen these threads before, and now they're back again. How's that a change?

No offence but don't you think this thread is just one of those 4 carbon copies you mentioned?

He pointed that out in his first post. (:

Yes, Toyomatt, I agree. Don't think GTPlanet is unique in this either. It's just the way it goes. It'll never change, and there's no point in changing it. All the forums are like this at GTP, and there are similarities anywhere you go. It has been observed a multituide of times.

For an original thread ... https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=14299 which discusses a large part of the problem. And why there are new threads created on the same topic. I believe it is because people realize they're being ignored in the shuffle and want to get in quick, or just start a new discussion all together.

Oh, believe me, bud. I understand you fully. I post on forums quite often and see so many similar trends, is gag-worthy, but there is always a reason for me to sign up and see what they have, and every now and then I see a good topic and post. But, that's why I call the Strip laughable as well, it's just a broken record of threads. :D

Drugs are bad, stay away from them :nervous:

I'm pretty sure everything will calm down in the next month, with school everyone is busy, all this earlier stuff that went on was because of summer which means almost everybody under the age of 16 was here 3-8 hours a day.

True, true. I'd bet the amount of similar posts will decline until vacation time, but now with all the technology in schools, I bet there'll still be kids skipping lunch, just to post on GTP.
