HKS Silvia drift

Man I've been testing the HKS Silvia for 200,000cr and
its hard to drift in it imean when i trie to set it in a drift
i spin out of control could any of u help. i did turn off the aids

Use less gas. Feather it (by feather, I mean press and let go continuously) throughout the whole turn, and countersteer hard. If you're already doing that... buy grippier tires... *shruggs*

umm be careful on the countersteer. messes me up all the time when coming out of a drift it whips back the other way but i got it under control now

throttle control is key. you need to be able to hold the throttle at 75%, for example, so you dont give it too much power making you oversteer too much and spin out and not too little so you stop the drift.

practice, practice, practice...
(and if you arent a master after 3 practice sessions, give up. just kidding)

Yeah, throttle control and the countersteer control. If you're drifting with a DS2 feather the countersteer so it's not too much or too little. Then, if your countersteer goes crazy, stop the throttle and countersteer litely, or you'll spin out...

hah yeah that helped A LOT...i gave up on the hks s15 a wile ago cuzz it was just too unstable...i got the dfp so its easy to controll the throttle...im using about 50% of the throttle middrift and while countersteering...o yeah and be4 i wasnt surre exactly when to countersteer...after watching the "drift bible" and other various videos that show u incam view...they seem to countersteer right after they initiate a drift...that helped me XD

I have tried this car... its easy enough at slow speeds to drift but when the speeds increase its get a bit harder. I tend to keep the revs right up cause if i let them drop i cant get the right amount of power down at the right time.

You know what I find that works reaaaaaaaaallllllllllllllllllly whell with the more unstable cars? A locked fully customized LSD. 6,600cr I believe and I normally run 10-15 for initial, 30-50 for accel, and 15-25 for decel. (higher number = more stable) for that car I'm running 15, 45, 20, and stock racing suspension set up (ecept for I stabilizers, front stabilizer at level 4, rear at 5), with n2 tires. I can control it just fine with that.

hehe, I had the same problem with this car, but I got it right eventually...

There are 2 key things for this car, well they're actually key for most cars, but the first I list is VERY KEY for the HKS.

1. Set up, Because of this cars outragous power and swinging (drifting) characteristics, you need to have the set up just right... I wish I could post my settings but I have just restarted the game... But I can tell you this, I played with the settings for hours before I found the right settings to suite my style of drifting... 2. Technique, probably just as important as the set up on this car is your drifting technique. You need to be very gentle with this car as it reacts almost too well for drifting. Be gentle with your countersteer and gas (as everyone has said). Practice, Practice and Practice is the answer...

The HKS is a really cool car to drift with and can be pure pleasure once you're used to it... Give it a go on High speed ring as well, it LUURRRVVVSSSS drifting fast...

I sold it caus I just coudn't drift it, but I played around with the Bounce Side a bit, and works just fine now. Still little bit hard to control, but practice practice practice practice!!

I got used to it after 1 lap of the autumn ring mini circuit. CONTROL the throttle, and yes, be careful with the countersteer. Also, feint helps alot. Check the drifting pics thread for my pics.
