Considering he didn't gain anything from having a 2lb lighter flywheel, the 9lb flywheel was 100% loss. There was no benefit to having it that light.

PS. Some cars are designed for stronger acceleration at lower rpm's. *cough* like mine. ;)
Dammit, you!

Why do you have to have one of the few Honda engines that don't bog until 4000rpms?

EDIT: JCE3000GT: "Honda engines" should have make your car an exception.

Too bad the gas mileage sucks if I keep my Prelude in the sweet spot all day. Having both types of engines has really made me appreciate each of them for what they are. If I want tire-burning torque I drive my Camaro. If I want to sound like a F1 car I drive my Prelude. You see, it all works out. Everyone should do this.

You should only be at those kind of rpms while driving around normally on the street, a.k.a., when it doesn't matter.

When driving on a track, or just driving hard, you should never be at those kind of rpms, and if you are, learn how to downshift.

Low-end torque matters more on the street than on the track. That's why this whole ordeal is of concern to me, because I don't want to be any slower at 3000 rpm than I already am. I'd love to be faster up high, sure, but not slower down low. There's a comfortable compromise somewhere.

At the moment I'm under the impression that, yes, I'll gain something and lose something, but it won't be enough either way to annoy me a whole lot.

Oh, and Matt's engine never bogs. It's always fast in a car the light. 👍

Don't do this again, please. GAY !=! CRAPPY. Thank you.

On topic, does anybody know the non-scan-tool method of resetting the service warning light on an EJ Civic? The maintenance has been done, but we want to kill the reminder light without taking it somewhere.

Thanks.

Hows the Accord Euro / TSX you had going?

That was once a dream of mine...To own a TSX...Ahwell :indiff:

Would it make you happy if I bought a 4L seadan? They drive on water you know thanks to their 2 foot penis exhaust sticking out the back end. Now thats JDM!

4L Sedan? Goo. :yuck:

Sedan? I said "Seadan", they're different you know. They're a rare 4L model made by Honda that comes with a free dent in the roof from a beer bottle.

*P.S. Its an inside joke

Oh... didn't know about the joke... so. :indiff:

Oh, back to my electrical problem. I was thinking about it...and maybe a couple of fuses are out? I'm going to check that out tomorrow.

On another note, my gas mileage seems to be suffering from my right foot apparently weighing too much and depressing the throttle pedal too far down. I mean god damn my Prelude's engine makes a KILLER noise. I need to get it on tape.

You know what sucks, what really really sucks?

My car got towed yesterday, I was visiting my friend and apparently you need a permit to park there. As my car was being towed, some girl rear ended the tow truck, a.k.a., where my car was. What sucks even more is that my car, while having no real damage, all the body panels kinda moved around a bit. So now, I'll be lucky if I get enough money from insurance to cover the towing cost.

So basically, chances are I'll end up with no more money than what I have before, just a messed up car as a thank you gift.

The only real damage was actually the brackets on my headlight breaking.

Regardless, I'm gonna go measure a bunch of stuff on my car and see if it's all normal. My car has a clean title, along with all original body panels, so if anything is out of the ordinary, it was from the crash.

Hmm...that's an interesting legal issue. The rear-ender is usually at fault...but what if you're not driving your car? Is your car the tow truck guy's responsibility? Could you get paid by them and the rear-ender?

I have no idea. I would go get my car inspected somewhere to see if any damage was done to the underbody, because the tow driver said my front right lower control arm was bent, and the car is "undrivable"

From closer inspection, it seems to be fine, but I'll still make sure to mention it to the guy when he comes to look at my car. I don't want to miss anything and then end up paying later.

Is this a seadan or a sedan? I dont want a car that drives on water. LOL. You know he changed the listing to fix that spelling, obviously so noone would make that mistake again.

Your telling me. I miss taking my 'lude downtown between the glass buildings or under a long bridge and just opening her up to hear the echo of when VTEC would kick in.

Damnit, I miss my 'lude. :guilty:

Bring any pictures you have of the car for the inspection and do a close inspection of anything out of place. Any damage done to your car should be covered under the persons insurance that did the rear ending as it was damage as a result from the crash, and therefore their fault. Even if it is something small and unimportant, claim it as it could be something that might come back to haunt you or annoy you in the future, which then would have to be fixed with your money. Don't let them tell you its alright when you feel it isn't either. Don't forget that the inspectors sometimes work for the company, and it'll be their job to make the cost of repairs minimal, so stand your ground and make sure everything is put on the work order to be fixed.

Good luck man, and sorry to hear about it happening.

LOL! Did he change anything else thats wrong with the ad? I should buy it and then leave negative feedback for him lying about it having a 4 litre.

lol, no he left the rest, clearly he still thinks that just because it could beat a local 4L engine, it must have a 4L engine.

Nice, I'm liking it too. 👍

But why put all that money into big name items and then cheap out on knock off rims? Not that I'm flaming, but I'm sure the question was going to come up sometime.

have you ever driven in vermont? pot holes > rims...

i have 17inch work emotions for bling

Not to mention real Spoons are almost impossible to get ahold of, especially for a decent price.

*waits for toyomatt to post about how easy they are to find*

I don't buy into the rumor that cheap wheels are that much worse than the real thing. I think a lot of it is that you're just buying a name and some exclusivity. I'm not knocking the real deal I just think a lot of it is hype. I've seen many bent or broken rotas but I've also seen bent and broken Mugens...

You're alot like my friend and his Civic. He has daily driver wheels (Konig Tantrums) and another set (forget what at the moment) for shows.

I was just asking though as it seems like you have a lot of money invested in the car with some quality goods. Again, nice ride and welcome to the club.

For some reason, last time I saw them for sale somewhere they were close to 500 buck each.

In that case, seriously, why not get real spoons?

My friend bought watanabes for 400+ each, and he worked in a cafe for a school.

I wouldn't spend over $600 for a set of Watanabe's, in most cases. I'd maybe spend more on some RS-Watanabe Stellar's or Cyclone's, though. ;)

Thanks man, yeah alot is right!! Its going in the spray booth this next week so im not sure im thinking about a color change to NH-0 (champ white). I dont mind the rotas they are cheap but work well if i bend one its 50 bucks to replace it isntead of a couple hundred like the works. Im going to be sporting some 15 inch volk CE28N time attack editions for hot import nights boston next year

My Prelude qualified for 2 recalls today when I took her in. They're fixing the emissions system (which is basically like a tuneup) and they are fixing the ignition recall on Monday. I hope the emissions tuneup makes my CEL (check engine light) go away.

My favorite color on the EP3, good choice. 👍

@JCE3000GT - That depends on what the CEL is tripping on. They will most likely reset it ($30 CAN up here, or free with the recall work), but if you don't correct the problem, it will come on again.
