Sorry SLC for catching you a bit when I slid.. After that, though we were working together decently. Then Wii came flying up, and I had to go with him. Good, clean racing though SLC, I enjoyed running with you.

congrats BIce on the win. Good job, Wii on second. You came on strong at the end.

I had great tire control on first part of race, but after I screwed up the pause glitch in the pits, I burned up my tires trying to catch up. By the last 4 laps, I had nothing left. I was lucky to stay in 3rd.

Thanks man, my first ever win. I was getting scared last 5 laps because you and Wii were catching up fast after u pulled away from SLC.
 
Spent most of the race in sad loneliness :(

I went from 11th to 2nd on lap one.

Then I crashed three times in turn 1.

Then I could have salvaged 9th, but crashed in the bus-stop

and who got fastest lap?
Mine is: 1:55:747 - I think....
 
Fastest I could do by myself was a 55.2, but when I got on the track after the race, I saw a 54.2 posted as fastest.
 
I'll look at the replay later to find out who got fastest lap.
 
So I opted for the 2-stop strategy which in the end brought me up short. However I enjoyed using that strategy more as it requires you to push throughout the entire race, rather than with the one-stopper which is more about a balance of tire management and speed. Had I not got caught up in the mayhem in the first 5 laps or so the strategy would have worked better. Also thanks Red for the bump draft in those last few laps, I appreciate it 👍

Anyways outside of the first few laps which were just plain ridiculous (Jett's trip into space sums up that part of the race well), it was good racing :)

Also the best lap I got was a 1:54:3xx. I actually did two 1:54:3's, both of them due to drafting and bump drafting of course.
 
Sucks I couldn't stay for the race but wifey was nagging me about running some errands so I had to go. I think I'm going to have to pass this series up it runs too early in the day. I think the only way I'm going to get to race again is to start my own late night series, I was putting together something before this popped up so looks like I'll have to follow through with it. It's just hard showing up for these series when you got a family to deal with.

On the first pit stop when I led you and SLC into the pits, I screwed up the pause to miss glitch technique. Hit pause too soon, and sat there for an extra 10-15 seconds before I realized I hit it too soon. So hit pause, and then pause again so I was able to leave. LOL . So I glitched myself! No lottery required

Send the replay to wardez also and ask him if he can record and post the video up on here. I can take pictures tomorrow night after the miata race.

Side note: for those of you in the miata series, I will be hosting the 2nd qualifying round tonight as scheduled.
 
I'm not seeing Blaze_409 in the sign-up list.

Either I missed his post, or he's unregistered, therefore not a part of the series, therefore should be DQ'd.

Probably my screwup, but I donno.

EDIT: I did a search of the thread for the word "Blaze" and got no results.

That was definitely better then I'd anticipated. And not a problem at all red. We had a good battle and I just didnt have the skillset to challenge for a podium. I want to send out thanks/sorry to the ppl that deserve credit for making this happen and sorry to the ppl I got to physical with in the first two or three laps. It took me a while to get used to the breaking with the draft. Didnt have much practice with this circuit. All and all a good time.

And congrats to BlackIce. You held it down

Thanks a lot guys, it was and intense race and I'm sorry to a few people who i may have bumped on turn 4 of the first lap, I was bumped from behind and my back end went on the grass so it was impossible for me to even slow down and not hit anyone. Although i started in 2nd, I slowed down and went to the side after turn one so I could be in my rightful position.

Intense race but I think we all need to relax a bit more around the turns, after all Tsukuba is all turns with only a few straights. That should be a good race.
 
Tsukuba should be better for me.

Also, I figured out that I was losing most of my time coming out of the hairpins. People kept pulling away from me there.

Ok i changed my car colors cuz its no fun when someone else has the exact same color scheme.

New colors: Terracotta/Green metallic

What a race! Most drivers were very clean and respectful. Only a few drivers were a little over eager in the corners :scared:, but a few accidents are too be expected when you have 14 cars on a track I suppose.

Too bad I blew a +5 second lead with a two-stop pit strategy :ouch:. While WiiFreak may be fast enough to climb back to a podium finish with two stops I am not haha. I'm still satisfied with the results nonetheless.

I went through a bit of the replay and took some pictures. I'll post them later tonight. That lap six crash on the straight was insane!

I was sent to last place twice, managed to finally make my way to 6th and try to chase down the leaders, almost made it through all the chaos, just to get myself thrown back to 14th. . . I'm sorry, I meant thrown up to 14th. Haha, hopefully you guys had an awesome race, I was so alone until the last 8 laps came around to swing a 9th.
