totally forgot about this race at the weekend, other stuff came up but i'll definity be online for this weekend coming and the rest of the races

-Official Pictures and Fastest lap and stuff will come today. I'll also send the video to Wardez.

-I found another Blu Cosmo Metallizzato paint chip (same colour as my Lexus racer), and painted my test car with it. Considering switching that to be my main car once it gets fully broken in.

-I ran a 59.5xx last night at Tsukuba on a lap that definitely could have been better. What times are you guys getting?

EDIT: Made a couple of minor tweaks, and pulled a 58.570

I'm in the 59's but I've got about 5 different set ups to go through. I'm looking forward to this race as I think there's going to be carnage! Race stewards gonna have to be on their toes!

Now this is where I struggle with this game and I'm not saying wiifreak is a liar but I cannot see where you get another 4 secs from!! I've done a low 58 as my best time and I maybe be able to nick a high 57, on drugs maybe, but a 1:54!!!!!!!! Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!!!!
*bangs head against wall, smashes through window*

Whoops! I take that last comment all back. That was the fastest lap for daytona wasn't it? Doh

Yeah, that's the fastest lap for the Daytona race.

Only other guy to get into the 54's was RedReevos.

Thought it was a tsukuba time. Note to self: don't go on forum before 7:30am.

So what kind of setup changes are people making? Make the back a bit more loose? I'm not experienced with tuning so I'd like to learn something here if I can.

Unfortunately, im 90% sure I'm going to miss this Saturdays race. Work til 4 or 5. Unless there's more connection complications and the race is delayed goodluck to all participating. I do plan on qualifying Friday just incase I do make it home in time

Not feeling the car on this track. Constant changes in engine buzz due to shifting every second is giving me a headache. Probably skipping this week.

Mule, unfortunately I am going to have to repeal my registration for this series. With spring in full swing it seems my Saturdays are going to be filled with outdoor activities. Best of luck with the season and I will see you at the Flyin' Miata events.

Which driving aids are disallowed

Honestly, I just used my "test car", which i threw a set-up on at daytona. Wasn't very good there, but it seems to work well, after a few minor changes, at Tsukuba. But yeah, making the rear end a bit looser seems to help.

Noted. In the case we get more than 16 guys trying to qualify, I'll just move you to a waiting list, then. Lets hope you can make it, though.

Eh. I don't mind it, really, but it's up to you.

Gotta love the outdoor stuff. Feel free to come out anyway if you can.

All of them 👍

This.

I just went around the track 25 times with all settings of the course as qualifying - tire wear on etc..

Best lap was a 57.4xx. On lap 24 I was able to run a 59.9xx. These are with the exact same settings as Daytona. I haven't even changed the transmission yet. I don't really know how to tune a car, so I am not sure my suspension setup will change for the entire season. Hopefully, I will get a chance to switch my gears around b4 qualifying. Possible 56s for sure.

I am running the course on similar lines as I did the 370z in the GT Academy. If I have time to experiment with lines, I would think I could find a little here or there.

I'm in the 58s. I can only see more time loss on that corner that goes under the arched bridge and the last corner as it's so long it's tricky to get it right.

Hey Mule, sorry to report I've been too busy on Saturdays to be able to make enough of an effort on a weekly basis. You can take me off the driver roster.

Thanks and enjoy the rest of the championship 👍

Sy,

I tap the brakes for the right hander(before the arch), turn in, and wait for it to come around just enough.. then I am full throttle all the way to the right hander b4 the straight. Also, on that first turn before the arch, I usually don't grab any of the curbing. I do run very close to the outside curbing on exit. If you get all the way to it, you can use it for a little push back to the right so you can make the next two left handers.

Thanks for the info red. I should be lining up next to you come race time!

I should be in for the race this weekend.

I do have a question about Le Mans though, can we run two drivers somewhat like a real 24 hour enduro?

I like the idea however, how would it work in practice? Would the 2nd driver sit in the pits waiting for the other driver to come in?

I rather race the whole 90 minutes :D

I have two drivers in one house. Works for me. :sly:

Pairs of drivers in an endurance would be so awesome. My friend Grayfox lives like ten minutes from me too, could be a cool little opportunity for us dudes that can do it.

Makes me even more into it and hyped after watching this:

Brilliant brilliant documentary on 2008's 24 hours of Le Mans.

Everything just had perfect timing and effort in the Audi #1 team and this documentary crew was just lucky enough to capture it all.

Team Turbo drivers are ready if Mule approves. :)
