Thanks for the documentary Wardez, I kinda wanna join the Le Mans racing series now. I used to be in it with a GT-One but maybe I should bring in the TDI Audi! lol

I was able to get down to 57 flat from changing the gears from Daytona. I tried messing with the suspension, but I am pretty clueless. My attempts at suspension were futile, so I am still using the Daytona setup.
 
Just got my wheel set and peddles. I managed to go a 1/4 of a sec faster within 20mins than I had done all last week with my controller. Still can't get comfy tho. I have a very archaic setup witch involves a toolbox, an orthopaedic chair and a beanbag. Don't ask. I get my peddles the right distance away but then the wheels to far away! And it all moves about which aint good. Probably go with controller fir consistency.

I don't think I could be competent with a ds3 anymore. I see times run with the controller and I am amazed. There are some guys doing quite well in the GT Academy Europe right now with the controller, and 1 guy that made the final 32 in Orlando for the US Academy competition. Blows my mind.

As for setups for the wheel. Your setup does sound like it would be tough for a 45-60 min race. I have mine mounted to an old bathroom sink cabinet. I added a piece of mdf to the top so the steering wheel is about 5 inches closer than the pedals. Obviously, I also removed the cabinet doors. I use one of our dining room chairs for my seat. Pretty ghetto looking setup, but seems to work fine.

I'm not sure about this car. I can't really get the hang of it without wearing out the front tires too quickly. If I slow down and take it easy, well then I'm just slow.

Noone qualified with tire wear off....I said I accidentally tuned my car with tire wear off for qualifying....which screwed me for qualy :lol:
 
everyone one is always drifting in the tsukuba rooms. oh well

Is there a qualifying room up? If not, no worries.. I seem to be slow today anyways. Can't seem to get within .3 of my best time. I will still qualify though, if one opens up.

I will check back here ever 10 min or so for next half hour. If no qually today, no big deal. I would just like to get it over with.
 
well, we seem to have people posting now, so i'll have a room up in a few minutes.

Even if you don't intend on qualifying today, come in for a connection test.
