Here is my setup from last week. If any of you are familiar with RKM, you will probably recognize most of this tune. If you haven't seen any of RKM's tunes, I would suggest you check them out in the Tuning forums.

*snip*
I've been using RKM's tune as well, and it's a great set up. I haven't touched it though except for the gear ratios, as I don't know much about tuning. I didn't try reducing the rear downforce of putting more rear brake bias, but it does make sense as it should make the tail slide out easier. I'll give those tweaks a try at some point, thanks for posting 👍

Just a heads up to Mule, I really want to do the Le Sarthe race but there's a drift event on that day that I might end up going to, so probably won't be able to make that race. I'm also out for this weekend's race so hopefully I can make the final events...

I have an interview at 2:30 today, so depending on how long that is, I may push quali back.

okay, I'm here.

Anyone gonna quali today?

Should be home within the hour, so if there's a room up...

What time is the race again? The American Lemans series race at Long beach California is on at 5:00pm EST.

it's set for 4:30. Should be over in time to catch most of the ALMS race

GT2 Brawl on the streets on longbeach.

If only they had these GT2 cars in GT5. Dibs on the BMW

Can't get on to psn, so I'll probably have to wait until tomoz to qualy, but I'll keep trying.

Official Friday Quali room

I'm gonna go eat, but I'll be right there in case anyone shows up.

I had the exact same set up except my camber was 2.0/1.0, toe was -.10/-.20, anti roll was 4/5 and my down force was 15/13. I also dont know much about tuning but i did what everyone else told me "Get a solid starting tune up, then bit by bit adjust certain things by one point or so." after looking at the replay, Reevos setup was better set up then mine, faster and saved the tires (but that could have just been his driving since I have a heavier foot)

Sorry i died guys, new job has me so tired after work that I just want a beer and get comfy on my couch/bed. I will be making the race tomorrow, I havnt even downloaded the track from mule yet and will be doing so right now. I will need to practice and qualify today as I might not be able to do so tomorrow before the race.

in!

I can get in just fine....

Anonymous just gets stupider with everything they do. Church of Scientology stuff was actually for a good cause. Wikileaks stuff last year was meh. This stuff against sony is dumb, though. Especially when Sony had every right to do what they did against the guy who jailbroke the PS3 in the first place.

Anyone going to be qualifying tomorrow? Around what time??

Reading helps:

Race 3: Midwest Motor Speedway (3.97 miles)
Qualifying session 1: Friday, April 15: 4:00 PM EDT
Qualifying session 2: Saturday, April 16: 3:00 PM, EDT
Race: Saturday, April 16: 4:30 PM EDT
Race Distance 20 laps (around 45 minutes)

That being said, I may push it up an hour, seeing as how nobody has gone today.

Sorry I guess I only read the part that you can qualify when ever you want? I will be there tomorrow for sure.

I'll be qualifying tomorrow. We should be able to run more than one person at a time so it won't take as long as Tsukuba did.

You can qualify whenever you want on the Friday, basically.

Sorry guys, I haven't had any time to comment on the above posts. I was able to run 4 or 5 laps last night before I fell asleep at the wheel. I got into the 16's(tire wear off) but feel my setup from last week feels way to soft in the back. Hopefully I will have time to mess with it before tomorrow's qualifying and race.

Thank you to everyone that has shared info, I will try and share some more pre-race. I have a vball game tomorrow morning that I probably won't get back from until 2:30 EDT. I also don't think I will have anytime to make any runs tonight.

I'm definitely participating in this one. Can't wait to qualify and get going. This track's a perfect test of the car and the tires.

Track has an awesome flow too Mule. I wasn't a fan of it when we briefly ran the Miatas there but after trying it with the car it was meant for it's fun. Hope we get 16 'cause the course's a big one 👍

Anyone else notice at the north end of the course a section looks like a pair of balls? I tend to understeer a lot at the last turn at the end of the balls :P anyways so far fastest is 19 for me. First time on track by the way.

Edit: 17.2 is now my best. And with this setup, my tires don't die as fast. If reevos and my time are similar, me and him will have a very close race. WiiFreak I know he will have an incredible time and be part of the battle for 1st. This track has good flow to it just like wardez said. I have 2 parts of the track where I have a problem with understeer and both are in the same section.

^Track is insane, the flow is so awesome I just practice for the first time and man that track is fun, still gotta work with my set up I got very low 20s I got to hit what you did BkackIce.

I've been doing some practice over the course of the week. At first I found it easy to find a good flow through the first sector, but I didn't get the second sector until yesterday. Every corner in that section is a multiple apex corner, so finding the best line through each corner is difficult to do. Not to mention the rapid elevation changes and the blind apex's. It's a very challenging circuit 👍

When it comes to lap times the best I had before yesterday was a 2:16.5. I was doing 2:16's - 2:17's yesterday running 3-4 lap runs (after that tire wear begins to effect my times). Then, suddenly everything just "clicked", and I managed to pull off a 2:15.5, and then on the next lap I pulled a 2:14.8  I think I can do 2:15's-2:16's consistently, however I'm finding tire wear to be an issue (as usual with this car). At about 4 laps my tires are about 20%-25% gone. A one stopper is still possible, but at the pace the tires are wearing, they will be at least 50% worn by the time I pit on lap 10. I'll probably end up going for a 2 stopper though, again, because that's what I always end up doing :dunce:

Also I tried the 1:10 brake balance out and it seemed to help out in general, thanks RedReevos 👍

wow 2:14 i am going to get crushed on this custom course lol

This. 👍

Try it out. It makes a world of difference. And here I was thinking of running 7:4 or something .

Just woke up. My plan for right now:

-clear cache
-reset ps3
-open practice room
-have a shower
-pract for a bit
-make quali room

Somehow I'm not surprised you'd think they were balls.

Looked like a heart to me.

LOL, c'mon I can't be the only one. If they were positioned the right way up I'd think of it as a heart as well but with them going downward...... you know.

So I just finish practicing and now it's saying it can't establish a connection to network? How can I fix that?

well im heading to my schools "founders fest" and talent show... Gonna miss the integra epic. :(. but thank goodness for DVR(long beach) :)

P.S. I hate this track
