Gonna have to miss the first race of the championship mule, as it's my birthday tomorrow. (bloody birthdays) So I'll probably be face down in a pool of vomit come race time. I'll try and make it for qualy though. Should be entertaining!

Happy Birthday then Champ. From my experience, I actually preform better while drunk. When I drift, i get closer to people then ever before. And the last race of the Lexus IS-F series, I finished the race in 3rd while a little bit tipsy (not drunk just heavily buzzed lol).
 
PIT GLITCH!!!!!!

As soon as your car comes off the jacks and is about to leave the pit area, press the start button (pause) until your car has cleared the grass. If it is paused, it will not make you loop around again.

Some might forget while in the heat of the race so this can really be a race changer and a real piss off to many.

No :sadface: I'm stuck at work...I spent the whole last week playing f1 2010 and NFSS2 so last night when I got on for the miata race I remembered why I love gt5 :dopey: Stayed at daytona tuning for 3 hours :D I'll be on around 5:30 EST...really want to drive instead of writing stupid code right now...

Reason I'm online - running bspec grinder :D

EDIT: My fastest time is 1:55:192 so 1:54's are possible.

In tuning I kept running into the same problem - I couldn't break 159 mph. Since most of this track is flat out I feel like transmission/df should be a HUGE factor in tuning, but honestly it only affected speed through the infield....

So what's your top speed? (according to transmission and actual top speed) :D
 
Were those times you guys are running online or just in a practice room? I wont be able to qualify today but I will be on tomorrow. Just watched the Indy race and I am "Super Pumped" about the race on Sat.
Also I will be running a yellow with white wheels combo. #22
 
Haven't done a single lap of Honda testing this week :(
Might have some time tonight, but that will probably go to miata practice, so most will have to be done tomorrow.

Anyone got set-up advice they are willing to share? Seems like Daytona should benefit a little more from drag reduction than Indy, but other than that I have no idea what I'm gonna be doing.
 
You'll just get stuck in the pits anyway. ;)

Apparently there are people not understanding the rules on tuning, so I'll make it clear here:

You cannot add any more, or any less to your car, other than the tuning parts listed in post #1. If you do, your car is illegal.

I have a practice/quali room up. Will post the number in a few minutes. Want to some some privite stuff first.

Yes. However, you can still come in to the room to watch whenever you want.

I'll make a new room at 4, when the session "officially" begins where you can come in regardless of whether you're qualifying today or tomorrow.

Ill most likely drop in for some practice. I only have around 50 miles on my car so I need to b spec it and run it some more to break it in fully before I go ahead and qualify. Ill see you online in an hour or so

Ew forgot about that....I've only driven mine online...does that mean it has zero miles?
 
I'm not going to have as much time to practice for this event as I would like. I'd rather spend the time I do have practicing the track instead of tuning the transmission. If anyone is feeling generous, please please pleas PM some transmission settings.

In my tuning it didn't matter what I wanted the thing to do it always topped out at 159 (not redline, just couldn't get faster).
I'd recommend a top speed of 196, shorten 2nd, lengthen 3rd and 4th (ticker to the right for shorten and left for lengthen, only by a hundredth or two for each). The 196 is because draft is gonna be mad in race.

I honestly don't know. I think racing does add miles but, if your just in a lobby running laps it doesnt add miles. Don't quote me on this but, I think you need to be in a race.
