Hi , This is a great championship and i would like to sign-up for this nice league !

Equipment : DFGT - Sequential Gearbox.
Vehicle : Honda Integra DC5 (EK) RM '04
Colours : Red Mica Metallic / ObsidianBlack
Race Number : #46

Nice to see u again _Racing!👍

...but in my experience countersteer isn't really necessary in a fwd car. Biggest thing is to just power out WOT. FWD cars tend to point whatever way they are moving.

Exactly. In a FWD car, if the rear steps out, shift down a gear if needed and floor it. Technically it should straighten itself out.

El_Aliens69 it would be great if he let me in the competition we can have some awesome races!

Indy Practice race's up:

That's great, man. Thanks alot. 👍

Oh god the lap 13 chaos :scared: my bad guys :(

You don't have to worry about me "letting you in" or not. Anyone who signs up can come in and try to qualify. There aren't any "slots" like what some series' on here have.

This way is better.

nice! will watch the vid now to see what i missed out on over the weekend

Hey all! Just wondering if its not to late to register? Looks like this could be a great series!

Welcome aboard.

How are you guys doing at daytona? 1:56.8xx is the best am getting so far. Low 1:56 is definetely possible.

Oh and am getting a new router for the next round. Last race i was kicked by server, good thing it was practice :sly:

I need to get some more practice in, but the other day, I got a 1:57.1

Been meaning to do a couple of tests with set-ups, etc.

My fastest time so far was a 1:54.8. It took me about 50 laps of trying to do that though, as I usually average mid-1:55's.

More importantly though, through my practice runs I have found a bug. Sometimes when pitting in, for some reason the AI driver pulls out of the pit stall really wide, clipping the grass opposite to the pit wall. This "off-track" moment causes the game to reset you back to the entrance of the pits (like when you enter the pits too fast), and you have to pit again. Because there is no option to abort the pit stop you are forced to pit again, which can lead to you getting caught in a loop of pitting over and over again until the AI driver finally decides to pull out of the pit stall properly. To make sure this bug wasn't exclusive to free run, I started up a race and pitted to test it, and again I got stuck in the pits and had to "re-pit" twice until I got out of it.

Anyways could some of you guys test to see if this happens to any of you as well? It would ruin the race if everyone ended up getting stuck in the pits for prolonged times due to this bug :indiff:

I've noticed my AI driver pulling wide coming out, but it hasn't reset me or anything. I'll look into it more. If it's a persistent problem, we may have to switch the track or something, which would really suck.

Also, doing a 10-lap mini race testing tires, my test car was running very consistent times for 9 laps until on the last lap, the tires noticeably dropped.

Now the set-up on the test car wasn't very good, as it was something i just slapped onto it to try. Very understeery with mega problems trying to get down to the apex, but I was getting 1:59.1's throughout. I couldn't get under that with the set-up for the life of me, though.

Then I tried it with my main car, with a better set-up, and although I kept making some dumb mistakes, I was still getting consistent times until I crashed on turn 1, lap 7, when I quit.

Race should be very interesting

Well for a newbie, I can be consistent at 2:00, but to get 1:57s I need to burn tires. I did experience 2 pit glitches. The first sent me back into the pits, the second I purposely kept the wheel steered right and I was able to cross the grass onto the track.

Yep, I've experienced the pitlane loop. I have to say it did get a tad annoying.
Turn 1 is such a bi-atch. A real struggle finding the breaking point when coming off the banking. Grrrr

Turn 1 is brutal because even when you figure out how to take it, there's still always the possibility of going wide before the apex and hitting the grass.

Still not figured out how to take it.
There shall be some fun there come qualy.

Consistant 1.58's here. Turn 1 is brutal. I seem to allways brake way too early. Whats the best line through there I wonder?

In most cars you need to stay high on the banking and then squeeze the brakes on as the road flattens out. Not sure how the fwd affects the turn in as I haven't tried it yet :scared:

I'll be dropping by Friday qualifying, since the Saturday is during my Le Mans Prototype race.

Guess I gotta finally get the B-Spec guy to break in my RM Integra today :D

Another thing is that standing starts on the banking are also tricky. We have to make sure we take extra care on the start.

If rolling starts were an option, I'd use it for this, but they're not.

I'm about to go test some more, and check out this pit glitch. We might have to go ahead and take off tire wear if it's a problem. Everybody else should try it as well, and post results.

I have found for the pit thing, if you press pause right before you exit, even if you do go on the grass it will keep you going down the pit lane. So pause it before you leave then un pause as soon as you clear the grass

mule, is there any chance to make a floating qualify???(lol) is just that the two quialify sessions doesnt suit me for my job, even i must hurry for the race time

Friday qualifying is floating, yes.

I get home around 1:30 EDT, so anytime after that should be good for me.

I don't think you should take tire wear off. 👍 You should, rather, reduce the amount of laps right down to the limit of the tires and end it that way.

Also, rolling starts are an option. We've been doing them for the longest time in WSGTC. Check out the first few minutes of this video for an example.

We run them @ 55mph like so:

You just have to run a quick one lap practice run and it'll click with people.

Thing wouldn't even let me out of the pits to start free-run....just kept looping until I drove across the grass.

Happier note - 1:55.672 as my best, running consistent (and god do I mean consistent) 55.8xx's. Probably about 30 laps and a good bit of tune tweaking.

Gonna have to miss the first race of the championship mule, as it's my birthday tomorrow. (bloody birthdays) So I'll probably be face down in a pool of vomit come race time. I'll try and make it for qualy though. Should be entertaining!
