Any chance for a pic of mine and gray's finish? :D

Yeah, I'll probably take some more tomorrow.

Looks like there was a great turnout for the practice race. Nicely done Mule. This series is looking great. Sorry I didn't make it today (great day at the beach followed by drinking beers and watching the NCAA). I will make as many races as I can this season.

Can you update my colors as: blue/orange. Thanks Mule

Snazzy photos Mule!!! I definitely need to find a tune that allows me to be more consistent. I could run 40.0xx all day long but could only touch 39.2xx if I pushed the tires really hard. I am going to try some "reverse" engineering to see if I can free up the back end of the car.

All in all it was a pretty $hitty race for me. I had lag issues and punted brandofo and also gave syjones a tap before t4 that was due to my typical braking point for corner entry being a lot deeper than his. I know that that is not an acceptable excuse as it is my responsibility to adjust my driving accordingly, so, again, I want to apologize to both of you. I also got a great punt from Stig who was also experiencing some lag so hopefully that is something we can work out before the first race.

edit:
hope my car ain't over modded or incorrectly done but its got 285bhp 495 PP if thats around about right. missed the practice race this weekend but was out practicing on Indy Road earlier and times were around about 1:40's/1:41's. but need to play about with my tuning abit as its very much stock atm apart from some minor suspension changes :)

@Mule, what was the fastest lap time for the practice race yesterday if you don't mind me asking?

May that 4:30 race time might hurt my participation in the series. I'm usually out on Saturdays around that time, but I guess I'll have to see what I can do.

As long as you have everything on the list on your car, no more, no less, once you hit 200 miles, you'll be at 295 hp.

Fastest lap iirc was a 1:38.0xx by Jett_Racer. However, that had to have been because of the draft, as nobody got near that in qualifying.

ah ok yeah well i just when with whats on the list...its a new car so need to still clock up a few miles yet to get to 200 lol

But anyway, looking at other people's replays, I've found that BlackIce was running a turbo. The graphic on his screen, and obvious sound of the blowoff valve gives it away.

wow.

Yep. $40. Pretty stoked

Actually Brosif, it was an accident, I used the turbo when I was breaking in the engine. I used the car i the 300km Endurance race in B-Spec. I then didn't touch the car for about a week or so and forgot I even had a turbo installed. I then saw my HP was a bit too high so I lowered it because I totally forgot about the turbo and thought the extra hp was naturally aspirated. I did have 295 HP during that race though. I did have more torque which is think was around 210 when the original amount was 190 I think. Even so, the turbo hardly helped me out in the race. I did a few more laps on Indy today without the turbo and was only .1 to .3 seconds slower. The setup I was using was similar to WiiFreak (amazing setup by the way).

I have messaged Mule about this and it an honest mistake. Hopefully this incident does not ruin my reputation as I do want to promote and enforce clean and fair racing. It is just me thinking more about the race then the actual state of my car. I learned from this to always check my car before qualifying and racing. Thankfully this happened at a practice race and not a Championship one.

Sorry again to tall.

Yeah, I got his message earlier. Haven't gotten a chance to reply yet, but at least it was just a practice race, and not something worth points. It was a mistake, and he learned from it.

Also, I just remembered that I ran the race yesterday in need of an oil change ;x

Though I guess it was because dsgerbc missed his brake point, as he fell off the track, and out of it:
Pretty sure I got a friendly bump in the a.
Too far into the race to check though.

Room down already?

Yeah, I saw the replay from Stig's view, and syjones definitely gave you a tap.

And yeah, it's down now. I got a 1:57.184. 55's should definitely be possible by the fast guys.

^ you're good.

On an unrelated note, I've bought a new car, as I wanted one with different colours, yet want to keep the Midnight Purple II (which is a fairly rare colour). Not sure which one I want to use, to be honest.

It's Phantom Gray Pearl / Jerez Schwartz Metallic

Also, moar pictures:

Stig and GrayFox were separated by only .001:

No, BlackIce, you can't drift during a race (also, another Turn 11 victim):

Somehow that episode/rubbing annoyed me a lot more than the bump I got on lap 13. Not sure why though.

Man! Nice finish by Gray and Stig, can't wait to watch! 👍

Somehow I didn't lose any speed by drifting turn 11 that time.... brosif still caught me in the draft of course :P
I'm really starting to like this car, gonna do some major tuning tonight.

Ahaha nice pics Mule. I hit the grass right before the turn. The back end kicked out so far and every time I tried to counter steer, I got too much grip and the car would swing back the other way. If you saw in the replay, my car danced back and forth, I almost caught it at one point but it just didn't work.

Quick Tip: When taking pictures of moving cars, switch to Panning Mode 2. It will make the course blurry but the cars will be clear. What it is, is the camera is moving at the same speed as the car (like the camera is attached to the car). When taking a picture on the side, zoom all the way on the wheel and focus then zoom out and take the pictures (adjust the focus if the whole car isn't in focus). Do the same all around the car except when in front focus on the closest part of the car (headlamp or emblem) and when in the back do the same as the front except with the tail light.

I did the same in the pic of me. I think I just got lucky with how far the back end kicked out, but in my experience countersteer isn't really necessary in a fwd car. Biggest thing is to just power out WOT. FWD cars tend to point whatever way they are moving (if that makes sense)

Ya thats true actually, guess it was just the spur of the moment and just assumed counter-steer would help.

Edit: Just noticed that the Miata series is starting this weekend also.... 2 races in one weekend! :D
