The Beta looks great in black. I personally don't like the two tone wheels of the Alpha. Neither special version is particularly compelling for me, although I like the burgundy roof of the Concept Edition.

They did a Komorebi Edition with leather seats and interesting colour options.

What the heck are the Japanese regulations? Why not just develop a new engine? Presumably the car isn't selling enough for that to be worth it, especially with EVs coming into vogue.

I imagine we're not getting an S3000 from Honda anytime soon...

Indeed but it has to be exactly like the concept. I prefer the Sports EV over the S660.

I wouldn't have my expectations set too high, especially after the Urban EV morphed into the Honda E. I don't have a problem with the design of the E, but it is very different from the initial concept.

As for the Sports EV, I can foresee a number of compulsory changes that need to be made in order for it to be road legal. If it ends up looking more like the S600 Coupe pictured in the article, I'll still be content.
