that ZX is fantastic...

your tempting me to commission you to build me a clone of my real one now.....
might have to talk to ya when the budget frees itself...

Greetings my friends . Here's some more swaps in progress ( have no material yet to detail interiors etc but planning on doing it!! ) . What I really try to achieve is to have one model of each casting I like but that's the closest to the real car / factory colours etc . This comes even harder with show and concept cars ! I tend to go with some cars , with the colour they were presented to the public in the auto shows . Hence not a variant collector ( only buy others to snatch pieces ehehe )

1985 Camaro IROC-Z ( first edition from 2012 with wheel swap only )

2014 COPO Camaro ( switched windows with the red variation and wheel swap )

1965 Corvette ( tampo removals from the Boulevard leaving only the Corvette logos on the sides and some small detailing of the chromes on the sides and red tail lights )

Buick Le Sabre Concept ( chassis swap and tail lights detail )

Studebaker Avanti ( small tampo removals from the Treasure Hunt and wheel swap )

IROC Camaro Firebird ( was a 2012 police car , grabbed some clear windows from a 5-pack and wheel swap )

1965 Mustang Fastback ( tampo removal and wheel swap )

Sorry for the massive flood :O

Just finished another custom

Okay have not been on in a while but have still been working on customs. I finished a '77 Dodge but the paint didn't work out properly. Something somehow messed it up. Anyways I found a bunch of older beat up hotwheels/matchbox/other cars and I'm planing on doing restorations on all of them. I will be posting some pictures soon. By the way @Filtercut the '65 Corvette and the Buick Le Sabre look absolutely amazing.

Welllll I won the contest. Sadly, there wasn't much competition to be had :/ few customs showed up and most didn't have anything on me lol. I'll have the report un on the blog today or tomorrow.

My co-worker buddy only got me one Escort RS1600 to modify and all he wanted was a wheels swap. And while I was at his house, he gave me the Porsche. It has some custom axles and I painted the wheels. No other modifications were done. I was going to give it back to him but I think I may just keep it.

I wanted to keep the stock color (metallic purple) but the tampos didn't come off easy and the gloss went with it. Not sure if I want to keep the flat black but I wanted to see what it looked like. It is a custom '59 Cadillac.

That's a darn shame. It's happened to me too on the exact same car when I worked on it.

It ended up becoming one of these:

All that nasty dust getting stuck to the paint. Makes me want to vomit.

Digging the black glass. And is your mold off? I didn't notice till I was painting the tail lamps but one is a lot shorter than the other.

That splitter gives that Toyota a completly different look. Makes the car look lower to. Nice color combo with the gold rims. Good job.

Thanks dude 👍 The wheels are an odd chrome color that just get that yellowish tint under full light; if you hold the car in your hands they look like normal chorme. The splitter was hastily made with epoxy, but it turned out pretty decent, lol.

Greetings my friends !

Thanks @BurgerBandit the Le Sabre is my favourite ... I was astonished that Hot Wheels had such a bombastic casting of this concept car o_O

BTW that Countach .. is that a Maisto ?

Leaving you with some more pics . This time no rubber wheels except for the Aston Martin ( I have no more lol what a pain .... grrr ) it's just awesome how a simple wheel swap can change the looks of a car. It's wicked !!

Aston Martin DBS - Mainline First Editions chassis , black interior and the wheels made it look like the Retro Entertainment James Bond one ( except that I think it is too dark the mainline tone is just perfect )

This CoMold wheels where made for this Civic EF !! o_O

Nissan 350z - dumped the blue windows

Shelby Cobra Concept - much better now... laking the rubbie rubbie wheels o_O

Shelby GT500 - ditched the blue windows ... gotta love those Matchbox wheels ...

Hemi Cuda - repeating myself... but ... Hate those color tint windows ... and lovin' some Matchbox shoes :P

Okay. Finished off my Countach. It ain't perfect but hey, I'm new to the customizing world so yeah. Had to make some axle holders out of tape because the big metal part holding it in was busted (that's why the back wheel is sagging). Also I wasn't sure what to do at the engine area in the back so I just made it silver. Anyways here it is.

P.S. Sorry for the bad lighting.

You could take your photos at 22:00 with the lights out and use a flashlight! :O

I want those wheels :bowdown::drool:
The Problem is in germany not many people look NASCAR so The only place where you can find these is on eBay for 20-40€ which is a bit pricy :indiff:
