But cartridges get dirty and useless.... Ew.

I love the way a lot of people are violating the ToS and so on and getting away with it. It sounds stupid but argue nicely, folks!

Besides, we all know the PS3 is gonna be one killer system. I think Sony's gonna take a hint and try not to let the same things happen but since there's competition, some things will probably get rushed. Either way, the competition is nice: we get not one, but TWO frickin' sweet consoles. And maybe the Revolution. But that's for another thread.

Or your wrist will get sick before you do. I cant imagine playing games with it for a long time.

Only launch system i ever got was dreamcast, only the discs were defective.

See children, this is why we don't buy 1st gen consoles.

All the rich brats out there that have to have ito n preorder/the day it comes out don't realize they are the ones most likely to get problems.

1. 1st Gen consoles are ALWAYS the most problematic.

2. 1st gen consoles are also the most expensive.

Waiting 6 months after release (or 3 if you just HAVE to have one) will pay offi n the long run. While your buddies with their 1st gens are waiting on the phone with MS Support you'll be whooping ass and taking Kudos in PGR3. Don't ever act like 1st gens are supposed to be the best and perfect, they aren't. Problems WILL come guys, don't hang up over them. Once updated consoles and ga,es come, it'll all be fixed. I remember my 1st gen PS2. Christ that thing gave me problems to no end. We exchanged it later for a later generation and it worked perfect.

Actualy, it seems I'm a very lucky first gen Xbox owner. I got it on the release date and I've not had one problem with it (I pretty much played on it every day). The only thing that had to be replaced a few years later was the power adaptor scare with the overheating.

I'm getting a 360 today (yes!). I hope my luck continues and I don't get problems with that. :) I'm not keeping my hopes up too much though...

Lucky you G.T, hopfully i can lead up the good news. About you not any problems, and insted i get a Xbox 360 today.

But i think Microsoft has fixed most of the european Xbox 360's.

I would not count on it, They would never open unopen boxes, re-test systems then re package them. It would be coslty unless it was a recall. Not all xboxs are defective. all systems started production over a month ago.

Like LaBounti explained, I very doubt it, like I said in post #42 too (ignore the patch part, I didn't know the problems was the hardware at the time!).

I've also got a launch-day Xbox with no problems since. It's just now starting to die a little (it makes funny noises once in a while, all I do is turn it off and let it sit for like 10 mins then I'm fine. Weird.

As a matter of fact, the later Xbox we bought about a year ago is actualy louder than the old one.

No problems with PGR3 yet, about 4 hours played so far. :)

I won't be convinced to buy one for a long while. M$ was just trying to get their stuff out before Nintendo and Sony and ended up ****** up...really...really badly.

Microsoft now claim that 3 percent of 360's are defective, others think its much higher than that, one guy says his EBgames got in 22 xbox360's and 7 were returned defected.

I usually get sytems on release day and have never had a problem with any.
I have been playiny PGR3 since friday and not had one problem yet :)

Looks like Microsoft has a class action lawsuit on their hands.

Microsoft sued over alleged Xbox 360 glitch
LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - A Chicago man who bought Microsoft Corp.'s new
Xbox 360 has sued the world's largest software maker, saying the new video game console has a design flaw that causes it to overheat and freeze up.

Listen to what I have to say before you label me as a right-wing, Sony loving, Playstation fanboy troll. These are facts. They are not lies or fabrications by some troll on a web forum. It has got to a point where Reuters is now reporting these defective Xbox 360s and Microsoft is handed a lawsuit.

Bugs and Glitchs do not mean anything to Microsoft. I know i want a 360 but Microsoft, still rub there heads thinking what Bugs and Glitchs mean.

I however seen the vid of PGR3 crashing, and i must say. I crash does not sound nice at all.

I,m shocked no one has sued Sony about the PSP screens being so easy to scratch.

Yeah, and the cloth that comes with it scratches the screen too... :grumpy:

Oh well, I have now bought a better cloth.
