Thats great. How much is the cost anyway? I havent asked this question.

you need probably litte bit less than 9 million $ for all for them

i dont recall the exactly prices, but something like this
Mazda 787b and Nissan R92C costs about $1,3xx,xxx.00 each

Toyota GT1 and Nissan R390 costs about $2,9xx,xxx.00 each

the mazda and r92 are 1,224,999 each and will have 35,000-42,000 miles on them or so
the GT-one and r390 are 2,925,049 each and since they are newer, will come with fewer miles on them. When you do your oil change, it will be as dark as you have ever seen. Chassis Refresh at 50,000 each is needed, but they are really fun cars to run with.

Personally I like the mazda and GT-one, but get them all, drive them, and keep what you want. The beauty of GT4 is you can have fun doing it any one of a hundred different ways

Use the Chaparral 2J with oil change, med tires on the front, soft on the rear for a cool 200 points as well. If you do not care about points, put big turbos in it.
On the oval race it is hard but can be done (easy with stage 4 turbo and harder tires). You will want to change the gearing for the tight tracks and the oval. It is a very fun car to drive, go in slow come out super fast.

Absolutely, I ran the series several times with the Corvette C5R, Zonda LM, even once in a Tom's Castrol Supra with Turbo of course. With the strongest lineup, sans the Toyota you mentioned, I could take 2nd fairly easy, but only win over the main AI by saving tires and not pitting.
You're so right about Nurburgring. The last time I ran it, I was using the Vette and came around one particular corner about 3/4 track, and the R92 was in the middle of the track facing me, the Sauber was in a field of grass to my left and the R390 was creeping back on the track. This all happened at the same corner. I was quite surprised.

the only annoying tracks i had in the real circuit tour were infineon , laguna seca and suzuka. mostly because my b-spec driver was a tit, and suzuka is a track i despise. plus im also really crap at infineon :( and B-spec can just about win with a tuned c60 with hards rear and mediums front. it only won Infineon because the other untuned c60 pitted on lap 8 with me about 10 seconds behind, so i won by around 5 seconds as i had to take it easy, if i put it any higher than 4 he comes off all over the place, on PRIME tyres!

doing the series right now... tho it'll take 2-3 weeks as i dont play much.

my car... well I had 4700cr to spend but decided why the hell fork out all that cash on a new LMP when you can get one 2nd hand? so i bought a black LMP and gave it an oil change and super hard tires...
first race i stayed in 3rd till everyone pitted and cruised to a long long win.... I tride b-specing it but my driver sux :p

update time....

so race 1 finished in first with about a 10-20 sec gap.
race 2 i won by over a lap....
race 3 at HK i lost in last place by a lap!!! :scared:
race four in 2nd place by about 5 secs to the minolta i tink... but I dont think i save it! :nervous:

this is going to take forever!!! :ouch:

I see this and I can't help but ask a simple question. Did you change your tires?

See, the AI uses R1s in GTWC, R3s in All Stars and R4s in Real Circuits.

So, if YOU used the same tires in All Stars as you did in GTWC it would certainly be more difficult. Personally, I think Real Circuits is fun but it's a joke because the AI has to pit in about half the races. Go against the MOST difficult lineup you can at Nurburgring in Real Circuits and watch what happens. Make sure to save the replay

Funny thing is... the Toyota 7 went from being the laughing stock (I lapped it in TWO different tracks) in All Stars to a real threat in Circuits because it could conserve it's tires. I would beware the 787B as well.
Nope, I use R1s all the way. Might take a while to heat up, but if it's one less stop, I'll do it.

another update....

I found out that i didnt save it... which means I exited the series!!! why do they have to make this series so damn long!!! :scared:

Gunna stick to arcade races for a while me thinks... untill I take some annual leave to play the gtwc

oh well... I had a good arcade race thismorning :D
👍

The XJR-9 will do it as well. You get one at 50% game completion. Its possible with a JGTC car but NOT easy. Its still quite a challenge with a group C car. I got lucky and had no group Cs other than mine in my run group when I did GTWC. Still placed second a couple of times to the GT-ONE that got 2nd in points. The group Cs may be fast but they eat tires for breakfast. I did GTWC in the XJR-9 with RM front and RH rear. only used the turbo upgrade on Super Speedway and Sarthe.

I hate this series so much. :irked:

The Minolta is barely cutting it for me because I royally suck at this kind of driving.

I think I'm going to try out that stupid little Chaparral thing that kept whooping me on the American Championship, its super-light and fast as crap. Not to mention cheap.

I'll let you know if it works out. :D

I actually went and bought that Gillet Vertigo thing (it has darn fine specs... on paper) but I ended up somehow managing to get left horribly behind in 6th place, even fully tuned up.

What a waste of money :yuck:

I must AGREE DeadlyFred! PD has really ruined the Vertigo this time. WAAAAAY too much HP & nearly NO Downforce! BAD Combo! :trouble: Since you've already invested in it...take it to the 'Ring for a bit. It's COMPLETELY out of it's element there! ...O.G. :D

well for those that dont yet know, the series isnt that hard really... just about any of the LMP cars can do it... its just soooo time consuming. I dont think i am ever going to get time to do this series. gah!

yeah the vertigo in gt3 was a truely mintox vehicle... blandsville now tho.

anyone going to try and catch "deep impact" thru a telescope?

Yeah, the 787B is a threat. In fact, I believe the 787B is the strongest opposition you can have in the GTWC. The Sauber Mercedes is also dangerous.

Cars like Minolta, Jaguar, just can't conserve their tyres enough.

In the championship I did, the order was:

Mercedes CLK-GTR (me)
Mazda 787B
Sauber C9
Jaguar XJR-9
Toyota 88-CV

colton19911
How about me using my cadillac CIEN? It has 940 hp.
Let us know how you make out!...O.G.

i used my black mazda 787b (sp?)... i won 5 of the races easily... for the last race i needed second or better to win the championship...

i was third for the first 3 laps swearing under my breath that there is no way i'd catch the 2nd guy so i might as well retart the whole thing, then i said to my self, "**** it", i had my finger glued to the nitros button and drove crazy while still swearing, i eventually passed the 2nd and guy and felt happy, then i spun out at the chicane right before the finishing line, he passed me back and i finished 3rd, 1 second behind him... i cursed sooo many badwords that night in all different kinds of languages

Actually, a JGTC has more downforce than a le mans car and even if it doesn't I still was able to win the 24 hours at circuit de la sarthe with the turns in it with a Motul Pitwork Z, Xanavi nismo, au Cerumo Supra, and the Toyota Woodone Supra. They are in some cases better, maybe not speed but see they get lower to the ground. Lower than any le mans car the lowest ones are the Sauber, AMG CLK GTR, 905, and the Playstation Pescarolo. That's about it I believe while all GT500 class JGTC cars can get 45 mm that is 5 mm less than the lowest le mans Plus to top it off, the JGTC Cars have a hell of alot more grip and alot better brakes compared to any Le Mans car. So your xanavi skyline should do fine but it depends on how you have it set up but that is to your preference.

Well guys, after reading a lot about this championship i'm going for it tonight... in the jaguar xjr9... i've tested a lot and found that it is best to do half throttle in the lower gears, it's saves the tires and in the higher gears you can win the time back... at least that is the theory i made up...:indiff: wish me luck:tup: and i'll be back.... probably to announce that i'll won!! (selfconfidence....)
Greeting from holland!

Not true. Rideheight isn't what determines your downforce level. The Group C and LMP cars have massive wings which give them huge downforce - the JGTC cars have to be homologated from road cars which means their downforce potential is far less. Take a look at the Nissan R92CP for example - that huge tail is all rear wing. Trust me, that thing's got more downforce than a JGTC.

And they don't have better grip or brakes either (not IMO anyway. If you want an objective test, tune a JGTC car up to a horsepower level that matches a stock Group C car and run it round a circuit back-to-back with the Group C car with equivalent horsepower. I guarantee that the JGTC car will get thrashed.

I used the Mazda 787 (black used, didn't even change oil) with R2 tires. The Minolta Toyota and Nissans were faster than me but had to pit.
Easy 2000 A-Spec points

this is true, even if your JGTC car has 1000 hp, it cant provide enough downforce to handle as good as the LMP cars at such high speeds.👍

i won using the jaguar that you get after completing a certain amount of days (dont know what it is but its white and purple) the HP is just over a thousand and i played it through B spec :D

JGTC cars can beat LMP cars in the GTWC though if you're a decent driver :) A user named Old Geezer did it 2 or 3 times with a JGTC car with success. He even managed to beat that championship in a 'normal' car.
