ShiftThats great. How much is the cost anyway? I havent asked this question.
JParkerAbsolutely, I ran the series several times with the Corvette C5R, Zonda LM, even once in a Tom's Castrol Supra with Turbo of course. With the strongest lineup, sans the Toyota you mentioned, I could take 2nd fairly easy, but only win over the main AI by saving tires and not pitting.
You're so right about Nurburgring. The last time I ran it, I was using the Vette and came around one particular corner about 3/4 track, and the R92 was in the middle of the track facing me, the Sauber was in a field of grass to my left and the R390 was creeping back on the track. This all happened at the same corner. I was quite surprised.![]()

vingdoing the series right now... tho it'll take 2-3 weeks as i dont play much.
my car... well I had 4700cr to spend but decided why the hell fork out all that cash on a new LMP when you can get one 2nd hand? so i bought a black LMP and gave it an oil change and super hard tires...
first race i stayed in 3rd till everyone pitted and cruised to a long long win.... I tride b-specing it but my driver sux![]()
Nope, I use R1s all the way. Might take a while to heat up, but if it's one less stop, I'll do it.jdwI see this and I can't help but ask a simple question. Did you change your tires?
See, the AI uses R1s in GTWC, R3s in All Stars and R4s in Real Circuits.
So, if YOU used the same tires in All Stars as you did in GTWC it would certainly be more difficult. Personally, I think Real Circuits is fun but it's a joke because the AI has to pit in about half the races. Go against the MOST difficult lineup you can at Nurburgring in Real Circuits and watch what happens. Make sure to save the replay
Funny thing is... the Toyota 7 went from being the laughing stock (I lapped it in TWO different tracks) in All Stars to a real threat in Circuits because it could conserve it's tires. I would beware the 787B as well.
vingupdate time....
so race 1 finished in first with about a 10-20 sec gap.
race 2 i won by over a lap....
race 3 at HK i lost in last place by a lap!!!![]()
race four in 2nd place by about 5 secs to the minolta i tink... but I dont think i save it!![]()
this is going to take forever!!!![]()
I must AGREE DeadlyFred! PD has really ruined the Vertigo this time. WAAAAAY too much HP & nearly NO Downforce!DeadlyFredI actually went and bought that Gillet Vertigo thing (it has darn fine specs... on paper) but I ended up somehow managing to get left horribly behind in 6th place, even fully tuned up.
What a waste of money![]()

Let us know how you make out!...O.G.colton19911How about me using my cadillac CIEN? It has 940 hp.
Shift4.5 million car? Jesus I can't offord that amount of money.
Technical question. What is downforce exactly? I have thought about getting the Nissan R89C Race Car '89. What do ya say?
M3 GTR Race CarActually, a JGTC has more downforce than a le mans car and even if it doesn't I still was able to win the 24 hours at circuit de la sarthe with the turns in it with a Motul Pitwork Z, Xanavi nismo, au Cerumo Supra, and the Toyota Woodone Supra. They are in some cases better, maybe not speed but see they get lower to the ground. Lower than any le mans car the lowest ones are the Sauber, AMG CLK GTR, 905, and the Playstation Pescarolo. That's about it I believe while all GT500 class JGTC cars can get 45 mm that is 5 mm less than the lowest le mans Plus to top it off, the JGTC Cars have a hell of alot more grip and alot better brakes compared to any Le Mans car. So your xanavi skyline should do fine but it depends on how you have it set up but that is to your preference.
Fink FloydNot true. Rideheight isn't what determines your downforce level. The Group C and LMP cars have massive wings which give them huge downforce - the JGTC cars have to be homologated from road cars which means their downforce potential is far less. Take a look at the Nissan R92CP for example - that huge tail is all rear wing. Trust me, that thing's got more downforce than a JGTC.
And they don't have better grip or brakes either (not IMO anyway. If you want an objective test, tune a JGTC car up to a horsepower level that matches a stock Group C car and run it round a circuit back-to-back with the Group C car with equivalent horsepower. I guarantee that the JGTC car will get thrashed.
mmmsushithis is true, even if your JGTC car has 1000 hp, it cant provide enough downforce to handle as good as the LMP cars at such high speeds.👍
