I presume you just plug one end of a network cable into the Slimline PS2, and the other into the router. The game you want to play should do the rest.

Thats right Daan.

However, if you want to use the fat one then you must buy a Network Adapter which sells for around £20. Once you have one of those you attach it to the back (where you can attach a external hard drive), then plug your cable into the socket. It will also come with a disc which sets up all your online networking stuff, like username etc.

how can i tell what i can play online does it say on the box.
Yes. Usually like so:

If you already own a game and aren't sure of its online playability, the existence (or lack) of an online multiplayer menu is a very strong clue.

I didnt get the disc, it still worked for me. I just got the adapter part, and no cables. It was just a matter of connecting the net cable to my router and creating individual accounts on the games eg. TDU, NFS.

Ya all games that are PS2 online have that symbol that Wolfe posted earlier, but the PS2 wont work with wirelessly so as the others have said, you will need to get a network cable and plug it into a router.

Step 1) Read the manual for the game.
Step 2) If this doesn't resolve it, describe your problem in a more detailed and coherent fashion. Punctuation is your friend.
