My handling in my GT5 is corrupt, and to solvethis, I must reinstall my game.

I know I must copy the save data to your USB, and delete the data from the PS3. What's next?

Uninstall the game file in your PS3's Game Data Utility, wait a few minutes, and start up the game to install. After the installment and updates, exit the game and transfer the saved data file back onto your PS3. Every thing should be back to normal.

Don't need to delete your save data if all you want to do is reinstall GT5. Just delete the stuff in the Game Data, as Crooooooow said above.

I don't know much about this but I think you have to save the "game data" as well as the save data ,other wise you will lose the replays that you saved.
That's what happened to me when I formatted my ps3

You dont need delete anything from PS3 XMB menu, there is reinstal option in GT5 menus.
If you can still run your GT5 thats best and easiest option.

Your handling is corrupt?

You sure you don't just need a Chassis restore?

It's not because of my worn chassis!
Even in Arcade Mode, the behavior is identical!

Thanks, Eric and Logan, for the tips!

I know! :grumpy:

Anyways, I'm starting to delete my game data! Finger crossed! :nervous:

This is the first time I've seen this happen on GT5... what could you have done to cause it? MotorStorm: Pacific Rift corrupted because I simultaneously wrecked, paused and restarted a race

Whenever I started a race it just crashed at the loading screen 👎:grumpy:

It means all cars, including FR and 4WD (with more power in the back), have understeer. :guilty:

After a night of reinstalling GT5, I has completed!

However, the handling is STILL corrupt!

*facepalm*

It's in the coding itself. Deleting the game data will change nothing.

Finding a good tune for whatever car you're struggling with will fix your understeer problem, for the most part. Understand how the car behaves - don't just slam the brakes when approaching the corner and don't hammer the throttle when exiting the corner.

I'm starting a magazine soon, and finding a tune will ruin the point of a review of a stock car.

Plus, I'm not Jeremy Clarkson! I don't kick the throttle too hard. When I go through the Follow Through on the TGTT (in which you're required to mash the accelerator pedal), the car's back-end will drift, and my car will face the wrong direction.

I'll upload a video for proof. :grumpy:

My video of proof involves a Merc SLS with all aids off except ABS (1) fitted with Comfort Soft tires. You'll see it going through the Follow Through and facing the opposite direction.

Nice, and where can we find the video?

This does seem quite odd, I've never heard of it either. I'm intrigued. Have you tried a different controller/wheel?

If you reverse through the follow through does the rear view mirror display a mirror reversed display?

Oops! :ouch: What I mean to say was when you turn left through the Follow Through, you end up facing right!

Sorry for the misconception!

EDIT: Video!

Yeah, that looks like how a stock, un-tuned, heavy, high-powered rear-wheel drive front-engined car would handle if you put comfort soft tires on it and didn't countersteer correctly in an off-camber corner such as the follow-through.

It's normal as far I can see.

Skip to 2:20 on the video if you don't know what he means.

That looks completely normal, your problem is that you have no throttle control and you just mash it on the corner, that is how I would expect the car to behave with no driver aids. Also, you are going into the corners too fast (first corner on first lap comes to mind).

I give up!

I was trying to look for a solution to this glitch, but what I got was issues about my driving! I was just demonstrating it in an exuberant manner!

I'm thinking of another proof in rallying, but all I'll get is "keep the power low" or "your driving sucks". I'm using DualShock 3, not a steering wheel!
