Can someone tell me how to do the save/reload trick? To get any prize car you want.

Yes I tried the search button!

Oddly enough, he's right. This probably ought to be put in the FAQ at some point.

Here's the secret:
Whilst in a series, save after your ninth race (in a ten race series. 4th in a 5 races series), making sure you're at least 11 points in the lead. As soon as the race final race starts, simply exit it. You'll win the race based on points. At which point, you'll get cash awarded to you. When you see the car you're given, decide if you want to keep it or reload the game.

You'll come in at the end of the 9th race, where you'll again start the final race and start the cycle over. Exit, cash and car award, decision time. Restart.

When you do get the car you want, go back and finish the last race.

With minor amounts of thought this is easily accomplished.

btw, care to answer this: https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showpost.php?p=1133912&postcount=25

If you happen to be hung up on finishing in the shortest number of recorded days. You do all the stuff that Der Alta said then run the last race till you get the car you want.
Then your day count won't take a hit when you go back to finish the last race.

And another little bit....if you're short on a point lead, or you just want to skip more races in a series....if you get into first place before exiting a race, the next car down will only get 6 points for 2nd place, as opposed to 10 for first. This means that you only need a 7 point advantage in the end, not 11....but then you need to get into the lead before exiting. It also means that you only need to do something like 6 of the 10 races to get a car. Not sure on that 6, but you can figure out the math.

That only works if you qualify in first place.

Eh? No....you just have to be in 1st when you exit. At least I think so.... Haven't done this in a while...but I'm pretty sure that you just have to be in 1st when you exit. I dont think you need to go and qualify.

The game won't give you the points if you just exit. You'll come in last if you do. If you could just exist and come in first, you could just get a car with fast pickup and get to first, then exist all in like 10 seconds. Not that easy my friend. :)

To have the AI get only 6 points you can start in last place and not qualify but you need to be in first when you exit.

You don't get the 10 points for first....but neither does the AI. Instead, they get 6 points for being in 2nd, while you get 0 for quitting.

Don't mean to be spamming but when I clicked on this thread I was sure to see someone bash him for not searching, but then Der Alta came in with the save *nicework* 👍

And they'll probably fix it for GT4 so that won't happen :sigh:

I've quit out starting at race #4 once, it's easy if you do the math and find out who you have to put in sixth before you get to first and quit out. Takes longer per race, but really cuts time for Formula GT.

They're right Gil, you can simply slap T8's on and out accelerate the pack and quit in first place. This does indeed redistribute the point award. You get nothing, the leading AI gets 6.

Interestingly enough, my very first post was regarding this. I would often beat the leading AI into the ground, then race to the front of the pack. All this in an effort to arrange the point spread.
