How do you get the chrome paint?

For every 30 cars in your garage you get awarded one special paint chip ... it can be chrome or a matte ... it's random ...

And no there are only one kind of chrome ... there is one named Chrome Orange Metallic but that is classified as metallic ...

You get a gift every ten cars (usually a horn), every 30 cars you get a special paint gift. That's usually a matte but is sometimes chrome.

As far as we know silver Chrome is the only chrome paint in-game.

There IS a paint called Orange Chrome which is nothing of the sort, and rumours of a Gold Chrome which can be photographed quite easily in certain photomode locations by using the Partial Colour filter. It doesn't really exist.

I thought receiving a chrome paint is based on random, whether as a login bonus or a garage growth bonus.

Just like the quote said, there's only one chrome in the game, and that's Silver Chrome.

Head over to the marketplace forum and Im sure you can find someone to gift you a chrome paint maybe for next to nothing as a lot of people dupe and dont lose them. If you are new and dont have anything to offer up quite yet there seems to be a very generous gtplanet population out there if you ask nicely. I do not have one or I would gift one to you.

I've gotten quite far in the game actually, so I guess there is always something I have that would be interesting to someone. But the whole paint chip can only be used once crap annoys me somewhat. A car can be driven again and again.

I agree that I would like to be able to use a paint more than once. There are ways around this which involve duping that im not going to explain or endorse (im neutral on the subject as it doesnt bother me) however there are many threads on this you can search for details on if you so choose to go that route.

I have actually read about it but it seemed too much hassle. Besides, my favourite paint is the Gold Poly you can get when buying that '76 Ferrari.
