My page...

http://www.geocities.com/gt2toxs/gt/gt1used/

can give you the list for North American version, modulo...
Your browser JavaScript implementation...
Your browser security settings (I suspect)
Your computer's performance...
geocities download limits for my free pages...

http://www.geocities.com/gt2toxs/gt/gt1stats/

should be faster.

Using that, here is a list of used cars for North American version (modulo above potential problems...)

Perhaps see also...

Working in co-operation with someone who can analyze the PAL CD, I might be able to generate similar pages for PAL.

I find it difficult to believe they would make a prize car appear in the used car lots, though.

Those are "demo" pages above the actual query pages.

Sometime I should add some "see all the cars (of various types)" links to those pages. Not sure why I didn't before.

... I've never seen anything anywhere to indicate that the 400R was available as a used car in the PAL version.

Also, I believe the race-mod choices for the 400R in North American GT1 are red or yellow.
I was wrong.

Actually they are red and dark grey. I got confused because my "All-Stars" garage has a yellow and a red normal-bodied 400R, as well as a red race-mod version. When skimming quickly through the garage, the non-race-mod version of that car actually looks almost like a race-mod.

Ive got the Pal version of GT1 and the 400R Skyline has never been available to buy from the used car lot. As a prize car it is only available by winning Gold on the License test.
Comes in four colours.

Someone from Finland emailed me the appropriate file from his PAL GT1 game, and preliminary investigations suggest the used car lineups for the North American and PAL versions are identical. I wonder if there are some differences in the colour mapping/naming, but that would seem to be the only variation possibly, as far as we can tell right now. Well, I think some of the names are different. Ie. it's not NSX'91 and NSX'93 in the PAL version, is it?

Could some interested PAL users please check out http://www.geocities.com/gt2toxs/gt/gt1used/ -- sampling days lineups to compare with GT1 saves they have handy? I claim results there should be accurate for day, position in lineup, and model, although colours might be different.

Since this page tends to run afoul of geocities bandwidth limits for free pages, it would be great if people could arrange to make their own private copy (including, especially including, the data.js file). But if you can't, just be aware that the page may suddenly stop working (temporarily) due to geocities download limits.

Edit: add detailed example...
The following will show...
all lineups for day 340

You should be able to simply edit "340" to some other number (must end in "0"; use "0" for day 1 and day 600), and hit "Submit Query" to get the lineup for some other day (set of ten days).

Lineups are for days 0 to 590, so for day, e.g. 1430 to 1439 use 230 = 1430 - (2*600).

Detailed confusion: In the related page http://www.geocities.com/gt2toxs/gt/gt1stats/ I did use "1" for the day 1(600, 1200 etc) lineup, using day "0" to indicate "non-used". In the above gt1used page, however, I used "0" for the first (day 1, 600,1200, etc) lineup.

For checking lineups for days 1 to 109 (600 to 709, etc) you can use http://www.geocities.com/gt2toxs/gt/gt1stats/ instead.

E.g .day 80 (because that has complete used car lineups only up to day 109, it uses less geocities bandwidth)

So, in summary, we think live4speed must have forgotten that he traded the car into his game from a friend's card at some time in the past.
