How far have people gone without grinding on A-Spec?

The reason why I ask this is I've seen posts on here about people hitting a grinding wall around midway between the Level 20s. I was expecting to hit one somewhere around Level 25, but I never did. I am at Level 29 now without grinding once and I want to see how far I can get with reasonably quick progression. I have hit a wall now which I can still surpass by levelling up B-Spec to Level 30 so I can do the Vettel challenge.

I have included a poll to vote how far you have come without grinding on A-Spec. That includes the use of Seasonal Events and unlocking the Vettel challenge through B-spec. Depending on how much experience points you get for golding the Vettel challenge (If I manage to do it, don't know how hard it will be yet for myself.), I can see myself getting to Level 34-36 without having to grind. You probably could go all the way without grinding if PD give seasonal events frequently but it will most likely take too long to get to Level 40.

I'm level 26, still have a few regular A-Spec events to go, haven't even touched the endurance races yet, and I got like 3 mil in the bank. The Bonus Events helped though.

bro, I been grinding endurance races b-spec for the last few days now since level 25 I think, and by the time you get to level 38 and to those last two 24 hour enduros, you will have to do those races like 4-6 times each to get to level 40 from what I read....

I have no plans on doing that, I'm at level b-spec 29, my only mission is lvl 30 to unlock vettel challenge, and then my offline GT mode gaming is complete.... it's fckin ridicilous, and PD knows it... it's why they implemented this new reward system that gives you extra XP and money until about January, because they know they fcked up

I'm also level 26, no grinding so far. I've golded all licences, special events and seasonal bonus events which helped alot. I've not touched Extreme events or Endurance events yet either.

I'm currently at level 26. I've not had to start grinding yet. I've still got a few special events to do (all the rally and AMG ones) and another 4 championships to do in the Extreme Series. And I've not started on the endurance races yet. So I dont expect to have to grind anytime soon. And then once I hit level 30, the X2010 challenge unlocks which I hear gives loads of XP also.

Im stuck at 26 now too but havnt done much grinding yet on A-spec at least. I unlocked the X2010 challenge via b-spec but I can't drive good enough to bronze it even so its not helping at all.

I have been going back and trying to gold the licenses in hopes it will make me good enough to bronze the x2010.

If you have golded everything including the two seasonal events then you will hit same wall as me at Level 29 with about 70,000 EXP.

I'm at 27 without grinding. All 45 events before Endurance completed on gold, all licenses & special events gold and 7 out of 10 seasonal events gold. Didn't start the last 3 yet.

I have just hit level 28 on A-Spec, and not started grinding yet. I will probably have to start shortly though, as I'm running out of events. :nervous:

Closest to grinding has been the license tests, but that's the same as in every GT, and most of that frustration is the 2 lap battles and DQ city from bumps, etc. Wish they would make it a normal 2 or 3-lap race with qualification.

I think I started grinding about level 14 or 15. This was partly due to some bad choices with cars and got hooked on drifting which is really expensive for little financial reward.

With these new Seasonal Events.. Grinding isn't going to be such a Necessity. I've completed all the Seasonal Bonus races and probably moved only two(2) levels because I'm sitting at 25, but I still have a few races.. I've completed everything through Expert.

When I meant grinding I meant having to repeat events you already completed to gain EXP to level up. Doing the same event to gold licenses or Special Events is fine as you don't gain the EXP for Bronze or Silver again. I guess redoing A-Spec events to get gold could be seen as minimal grinding.

I'm level 32a/36b without grinding in A spec, B spec is all that is, a grind. I have gold on everything except two runs in the FGT races and have only done the first challenge in the endurance races. Also the Vettell challenge is one gold, one silver and one bronze. I figure to get to level 40 a spec in the end won't actually be that much grinding.

I am 26 a spec havent started grinding yet but I have lots of things to redo for gold if I every get stuck.

moving closer to Level 32 now, it only gets better as my Garage is wonderfully Powerful NOW with a X2010..... must say its worth saving all the cars you buy and win, i wont sell either of them plus good to save back up aswell for the hard work

Level 22.

I was surprised to see the end credits after the World Championship in the Professional Events.

So, technically the game is over at that point. No grinding needed.

What's left is incentives for replay value. I think the intent was that you would then play online, redo events with less powerful vehicles, redo events to improve you time, etc and as you progress you would be rewarded with more events like those enduro events.

I voted 24. That's when I had to repeat the same race a few times to ge to 25. Before the seasonal events and not including bspec.

My wheel is arriving tomorrow, ive set up a new PSN to start again to learn how to use it. Planning on not grinding/online and seeing how far i can go.

Ive been sending cars to it so i can do all the seasonals, but might leave them til the last minute and see how far you can get doing Licence/Specials/A-Spec alone.

I would imagine 27 or so, possibly 28/29 with the seasonals if you gold everything and do it in a decent order.

Lv 32.. No grinding. I did "grind" Indy in the American Championship 3 or 4 times to make enough money before the FGT disappeared from the UCD tough.. Golded everything so far exept that RX-7 Seasonal 2...

Im halfway through level 23. I still have a couple or races in expert and all of extreme left. Hopefully I can upgrade to golds in the licences and some of those special events to bump that exp up a bit so I dont have to experiance grinding too early, or does trying to win gold equate to grinding as well??? Stupid silver cups :(

I got to level 28 before starting to grind, but that was before the seasonal events were available.

Late comers to the game  can also throw in the seasonal events and reach level 30 and the Vettel Challenge, which in turn may get you to level 35 at a guess, but someone will need to work it out.

fwiw, in grinding the Bspec enduros I notice that the XP rewards seem to be based around winning each enduro 4 times to open up the next one. Maybe not exact but definitely close.

It depends on how many times you do races over to get the win. If you gold every race the first time you would hit a wall sooner. Likewise, if you had to try a couple few or more times to get the win then leveling up wouldn't be so noticeable.
31. grind for money in my 20's.

Though bear in mind that the big XP earnings are in the Special and Seasonal Events and they are one time earners.

I was a bit of a late starter so Seasonal events helped a lot I guess. I am golding everything as I go and it does not take me many repetitions of a race/event/challenge, to get gold. I win more than half of them in first try. I am currently at lvl 34 and haven't grinded yet. I have golded everything there is (including seasonal events), only silver I got is on Vettel Challenge first and third track. Will have to repeat those a bit to get to gold. And I am sure, if I do that, I will reach level 35 (or even more) in order to open 24hrs Le mans race without grinding for experience points. After that I am sure, I won't have enough points to get to lvl 40 and opening last 24hrs race without grinding. Unless some more seasonal events open :).

You can get the X2010 as a reward by reachiung lvl 35 in B-Spec mode. I'm only lvl 25 in B-Spec atm though, and lvl 26 in A-Spec. I only have the FGT series to run in the extreme events, and all of the endurances races. Still need to do some of the rally special events although I'm not overly fussed with that side of the game.

Level 34 A spec and I haven't done any grinding beyond running 2 extra dream car championships to get to 10 million credits and dupe the F2010.

B spec is your friend for A spec levelling... get to lvl 30 B spec, unlock the Vettel Challenges and you'll level up quickly even with bronzes... if you can get golds you're pretty much all the way to lvl 35.

I'm just a few 100,000 exp off 35 now, and haven't run the MX5 enduro or the Tsukuba 9h enduro yet... if I can ever be bothered to run them I'll get lvl 35 and that will be the end of A spec for me.

Level 23. I had everything completed in the game and the only things that unlocked was the 2 race american champ. and the Formula GT series (couldnt buy the car till 24).
