How far have people gone without grinding on A-Spec?

I voted 36, that's where i am right now after completing every race or event available once. Now i won't grind to reach lv40, i'll just wait for seasonal events. I'll progress slowly but it doesn't matter, i will be playing GT5 for a loooooong time anyway !

Im currently on level 27 verging on 28. I havn't had to grind once as of yet although it's most likely due to the seasonal events.

Im currently level 31 ASpec and did not repeat one single event so far. Oh and until now I havent done any of the endurance races at all.
BSpec is a different thing.

I'm level 28. I have some special events left, a handful of extreme races left, and I haven't touched the endurance series yet.

I've gotten to level 28 without grinding, much thanks to the new seasonal events or I'd still be at 26.

Currently 27 without grinding, again thanks to seasonal events and bigger payouts.

B-Spec is different though, I'm at level 10 and already needing to do some races a couple of times.

Now up to level 35 A spec without grinding and I could get to level 36 if I ran the MX5 enduro, the Tsukuba 9h and Le Mans 24h.

B spec on the other hand :(

My new save is at level 23 with just the 10 seasonal events done and nothing else at all.

My GTP account is level 23 and I've done one A-Spec race and one special event. Those seasonal events are fantastic.

To say that I've never repeated any race would be a lie - I've run some races more than once, but more for fun than any other reason. I'm currently at level 29, and I've done at most about 40-45 minutes of what I would consider 'grinding'.

Now with seasonal events, there's less reason to do so (unless you're impatient and want to level up quicker).

I'm at Lv. 24, and I only just started to have to grind because no more Seasonal Events have come up just yet. :irked: :banghead:

@Mr. Boy-I don't think I've even able to unlock those just yet. :indiff:

I put 23 as that's where I'm currently at. However, I have only done one race in the Professional series and none above that. I also have lots of the Special Events left to do. It's looking like I won't have to grind at all, just by doing some Seasonal Events every week.

level 25 and still no grinding. THe seasonal events really help!!

This is my first GT game and I spent a lot of time trying to perfect the license tests and special events since they seemed an ideal way to learn the game. I did a few A-Spec races then the first round of seasonal events hit, so I focused there because they were a challenge to do (for me) with the recommended cars and only around for a limited time. Plus I was determined to tune the cars myself instead of using other people's tunes which took time and a lot of laps.

By the time I had trophies in all of those, round two hit...

Suddenly I'm level 23 and I've only finished A-Spec beginner.

Starting to really feel it now. 23 A-Spec and 21 B-Spec. It's worse in B-Spec cause I don't have the seasonals and special events to get that extra bump. Might get better if/when online B-Spec comes.

I made it to 29a/17b before needing to grind. In aspec, I'm grinding to get to 30 for the Red Bull Challenge, I just don't have big blocks of time to knock out endurance races. I'm also having to grind in bspec as I need to skip around the historics race and win the Toyota 7 further up the chain.

All in all, I'm happy with having made it this far given PD's ill-concieved, shallow game progression design.

Will PD ever catch up with the times and build a game that does beg for grinding?

I'm at level 27 and haven't touched a seasonal or a spec event. All my leveling comes from online shuffle racing and league racing.

I think I'm somewhere around level 32 currently, but I really stopped 'grinding' at level 26 or 27. From there there's no real point to leveling up; there are hardly any cars that I truly need that I can't unlock, so why bother doing the same race over and over again? Why play if you're not having fun doing so?

Just a few weeks ago, I finally hit level 40 A-Spec. I only had to grind halfway through 38 and most of 39 - the latest Formula Gran Turismo Seasonals took care of that pretty easily. I didn't really care to reach top level, especially having to grind for it. Over the years, Seasonals opened up and got rid of the need to grind, for me.

I never really grinded to win some currency or to gt some exp. i just played a heck of a lot of online to fulfill my needs for some good competition. Sure it started out slow, but that's how the GT series always has been. I'd rather have a game that takes time to play and consumes your time, rather than having a boring game that you've completed in 2 days...

You mean wining the same race over and over again just to earn experience points? I'm up to level 38 by usually winning once, then maybe couple more times to dial in a new car but mindlessly grinding away is not needed. The Seasonals offer up enough points and variety.

I think i reached lvl 33 normaly, and then i had to grind to get to 40

Somebody brought this thread up from the pre-seasonal XP whoring era graveyard.

I only "ground" for cash after level 40 .. But I know cruising around under the NuR track in tiny little circles got me from 35-39.75 then I finished up legitimately :)

Grinding's never been an issue to me. I've always enjoyed going back to certain races or doing some of the Championships again to help me level up. I can't say that the 'wall' has ever been a big one, either. GT5 is exceptionally easy when it comes to levelling up now because of the Log-In bonus. It doesn't take long at all. Anything after level 30 would be when I'd need to start doing more.

Restarted and got to level 32 so far by doing just seasonal races. Still got quite a few to do. Haven't touched A-Spec yet except Sunday Cup just to set-up my cars. I'm at 20,000,000 credits and own the 2J, FGT, Ferrari 2007, Minolta & 2 of the 3 Historic race cars, Just need the Ford. I think I will hit level 40 without even going into A-Spec.

I never went back to A-Spec, i have some unfinished champiomships that will do some day, but never felt the need of grind for money or XP, got to level 40 a few months ago, not a big deal. Juts a trophy.
Still having fun with the game

I put most of my time into B-spec (max level 40)while playing the 360. So my A spec is currently somewhere around 19. I have been trying to get more into GT5 lately, just never seem to have enough time especially in the summer.

I am in the 30's  not for sure as it's been a few days. Never grinded intentionally, I have fallen asleep at the wheel on daytona if that counts. How ever I did lose.
