Is it as curly as the image though? (pun intended)That Arkon 7" tablet holder is the one I have. It works pretty good but the bendy part isn't very bendy.
There's a bazillion mounts for phones by the same seller on AmazonThanks. Looks like I could easily modify it to hold an old iPhone 5?

found a photo where you can see my setup slightly from the side.

Is that a Monitor Audio Bronze BX2 or BX5 speaker I see there, or just an incredibly similar looking one?
Thats right. Monitor Audiowell spotted
................Assetto Corsa is a whole new league. ..................
..........I've also tried pCars but an early build so still room for improvement but that's more like a Forza game in feel from what I tried but slightly prettier than AC..................
I haven't tried it, I don't expect the physics to be on Assetto Corsa's level, but am excited for what the PC version might mean for creation of a Mod Community, but at the same time I fear it might stunt the growth of the Assetto Corsa online community.......![]()
For the GT6/FM5 part I would like to disagree. GT6 is just so much easier to drive, it's almost devoid of challenge, the ring is a breeze. By comparison the cars in FM5 seem to have less grip, or I would rather say they're easier to lose when pushed to the limit. In GT6 I have never ever experienced proper oversteer, all cars understeer, some more, some less, but they all do, it's incredibly easy to take turns in GT by just modulating gas. And even if you push the throttle too much you almost never spin out, in FM5, especially in high powered cars you have to be extremely careful with steering and throttle, otherwise you end up in the ditch. I feel if FM5 had forza 3 grip levels it would drive pretty much just like GT6. Just my observations.Just want to answer the OP's question (probably answered many times already), I've been into the GT games since the very first one and I always thought personally that they were pretty spot on with handling and physics, plus the added bonus that they really look good (at the time). Forza in my view has always felt more arcade like that GT and to me this is still true (for me) with Forza 5 vs GT6 purely based on how they feel to me. My biggest indicator for this is grip levels (or lackof) in Forza games and the way the cars seem to float around. In GT they feel very planted. Anyway, I digress....
Assetto Corsa is a whole new league. The handling are what I call hyper realistic, it is a sim after all. The way the cars move is just incredible. The bounce and wobble as you fly over curbing to how the car bucks and rolls after spinning out and coming to a stop. I would say AC is spot on and also looks stunning. For me it's easily the best racing/sim out so far (I've also tried pCars but an early build so still room for improvement but that's more like a Forza game in feel from what I tried but slightly prettier than AC).
You need a wheel/pedals to do any racing/sim justice though!
....................Some are already dubbing Pcar as the better physics sim than Iracing and Assetto corsa, even Rfactor 2.................

If you purposely select tires with crappy grip who is there to blame? )I have to disagree with that, as i´m a DFGT driver & have driven mostly stock road cars on Comfort tyres since GT5. I still found some cars extremely hard to drive..To me its more like, if you loose it there is pretty much nothing to do, even on low powered cars. You can easily loose rear only by cornering too much, (S2000 ´06 which is overally quite easy steady car) ...of course there is old MR/RR cars like Ruf BTR, Yellow bird, Cizeta v16, even Clio Phase 2 which wants to go sideways even without throttle. Some of the race cars spins instantly if cornering too hard.
(I read old review about GT6 physics, & the reviewer said how arcade the physics are because he could not spin Shelby Gt500.. I had to test the same car later to see is he right about the physics, but damn i had to work hard to keep it straight)

...............I think AC has put the bar so high as far as how the cars feel that other SIM will have a hard time getting to that level.
What felt like state of the art a year ago is now, when compared to AC, just OK.
I didn't have any trouble with the S2000's but some of the other cars you listed like the older MR's were just awful IMO. I think the problem was partly FFB related in that it was difficult to feel what was happening with the car because they didn't feel connected to the road, they felt more like they were driving on perfectly flat ice like in a hockey rink. After some practice you could get in some decent laps but it was more of memorizing repetitive inputs rather than feeling and reacting to what the car is doing. This is the biggest thing I noticed when switching to AC. You can feel the road, the car feels connected.Right... I could ask you the same question. Why are you wondering that cars wont oversteer if you are using the most grippy tyres..
I prefer realism, & if we are comparing two or 3 different games, we should compare them with "realistic setup".
Edit: And No, "crappy tyres" does not mean i´m sliding around every corner, i just want to have realistic feeling to car, track & tyres.
My view for the OP.
Easy.
GT6 + G27 + Monza + Abarth 500 '09 = good fun.
Assetto Corsa + G27 + Monza + Abarth '08 500 EsseEsse = ... just LOL!
I know, I know the Abarth is a slow, crap car, etc, etc.
And THIS is my point exactly!
EVEN with this small, not at all fast car, you can FEEL the HUGE difference. In physics, in car behavior, in track feel.
I played a lot GT5/6. And they felt great. But Assetto Corsa is just in another league. Every spin, every bump, every over and understeer there is logic behind it - why it happened - you pushed too hard, you missed the braking point, you didn't chose the right line. And you can feel it and you can understand why it happened. But these are not limitations! These things help you to be more precise, to be faster, then to try to push even harder.
I had some great memories from GT5 and GT6. And right now, when I look back ... they are exactly what they advertised - real driving simulators.
Well ... Assetto Corsa is not like that.
In truth, I think that Assetto Corsa is just 1 tiny step from being the REAL simulator for racing.![]()
Really? the gamer spirit runs strong in this one!
