How long have you been drifting?

About 3 days for me. I've been a nonchalant drifter off and on, but I didn't actually start until just recently. My preferred steed is Detroit Iron...there's just something about the high HP RWD platform that makes it good for sliding.

LOL
no like i mean the first time i started lol i havent been drifting for 3 months straight

What Famine meant was that you should be tired from the new threads in such a short period of time. :sly:

BTW, these threads have IDENTICAL answers.

How long have I been drifting? Since I learned you could do it in GT3 from a web search that revealed settings to drift the cars.

What got you started drifting? A web search back in the days of GT3 that had settings that lead to drifting.

See?

So, I'm going to lock up the other one.

Thanks.

Since GT3 I think,

Hell no in real life

Gonna be a drag racer with a Supra in real

-Hey you, with that Toyota crap, I dare you!

I have been interested in drifting since 1998,though I must say, I have lost interest in cars pretty much all together since I found my current girlfriend lol.:sly: :)

My first experience drifting (unofficially) was in my dad's '87 Civic Si Hatch back when i was around 10. Im 15 now. He DONATED the Civic 2 years ago (was only worth $200). But that Civic was in drift spec. How? My dad used to live in SF when he immigrated from Vietnam (but we're Chinese), he got the car from my aunt (his sister) and he wanted to get down the hills faster. He join his immigrant friends and raced. They dint know about drifting, they just threw the rear out to turn faster. But anyways, he cut the coils, messed with the steering rod by adding some washers so he'd have a smaller turning radius, and voila! The poor FOB's drift car. So I used the same technique he used in the past, feinting and hand braking, through the residential area i lived in at the time. The streets were nice and windy, so I had a blast. At first, he dint let me drive the car, of course, so I usually just snuck out at early mornings, take the key, and push the car to a safe place where couldnt hear the car start. Once he caught me a year afterwards, he got rid of the car. But thats how I learned how to control a sliding car. The End.

a drifting Civic???...........Hmmmmmmmm. FF FTW I guess????

My first time drifting IRL was in my moms 99 Chevy Blazer (bad idea!) and then I learned in a '90 Nissan Sentra. haha

yup a Civic. You really learn about weight transfer and precise hand braking when drifting in an FF. It actually helps when you start drifing FRs.

Yeah, done that with Fiat Uno,snow is coolest for that, you don't have to go fast, but it's good on the tarmac! also

Its all about drifting poor, just like the original drifters of the Touge. BTW, never heard of the Fiat Uno. Maybe that because I'm in the states HAHAHA! I miss that Civic. Its the same Civic the Honda Mugen Motul Civic Race Car is. I call it the flatback, not the hatchback.

I have been drifting in gt4 since i buy it. Because Gt3 was my drift game. :)
in real live. only with my friends car. what they can afford it.

Been close to 7 years in terms of all video games. I'm 16, turning 17 in october. Not too interested in drifting in real life. Too much money, need it to mod my FC =) (yeah, i really do have one.)
