Heh heh, same with me. My first car cost £650 to buy and £710 to insure! Then my next car cost £1,100 to insure, but it was an Impreza Turbo, so that's OK. Then I wrecked it, and now I'm scared of insurance companies!

BTW, $88 is <£50

Yeah well i could fix my car up .. but i think that would just be a wast of money. Might as well get a better car.

Man!! an Impreza Turbo! How could you wreck that!!

I had a real nice car until october last year - A black saxo vtr it was lowered wheeled exhausted stereod - I had spent about £4,000 on it but I had to sell it cos I got a new job and it means I travel like 80 miles a day - I got a diesel and its dead slow - I will get some pictures scanned in and use them for my avatar. I took it to silverstone and showed it at Trax 01 - I went down the drag strip and all it was a brilliant day jw :D :D :D

I think that whenever I see these tarted up sheds with implausibly large exhausts and wings and stuff on them. I always think "It's STILL a Fiesta, only you spent £10k on it!!!! Why not buy a real car?".

But then maybe that's just me!

Well it was quite tail happy on the brakes. One day I was going round a corner, and hit a water stream. Tail snapped out, cement mixer coming the other way, *BANG*. No more car. Banned for 6 months.

But I didn't hurt anyone, which is how I manage to maintain a positive attitude about it.

Well i gotta go now, things to do, breakfast to eat . cya's later and thanks for the help i've now got my posts to 110 yipeee!! :)

No prob. See you around when your closse to 1000 post. :D

Hey Giles - my saxo was Still a saxo even though it was done up. People spend loads of money on a standard car to make it look like somehting its not - If you buy a REAL car then you will always see exactly the same thing driving around on the road - I modified and customised my saxo and it looked like no other on the road jw :D :D :D

Now whats a saxo i never heard of that car either???

Having said that though - if I had enough money to buy say a standard TVR Cerbera then I dont think I'd mind if I saw another one that looked exactly the same !!! jw :D :D :D

Hey Nocturnal - The saxo was in GT2 its was the small hatchback dressed up with rally stuff on it - remember - Its a saxo vtr or (as in the case of gt2) It was the saxo vts - Its a small car with a really strong rigid chassis - I had mine lowered by 60 mm and it really did scrape the ground - On the side sills you could only get two fingers between the car and the ground jw :D :D :D
