Erm...

No actually, apart from it says winamp version 2.78 instead of 2.76

OK folks, I have a WinAmp question:

I have a PIII/1000 PC with 512MB RAM and a 45Gb drive. My sound card is a SB Live, and it's outputting digitally to an Altec Lansing Dolby Digital kit. It's running Win2K Pro SP2 with DirectX 8.1.

Think is, when I play MP3s, they skip. As if I'm listening to a CD and it just jumps forward by anything from 0.05 to 0.3 seconds at a time. It's really annoying!

It's independent of CPU/memory/disk loading as I've tried each of these things independently. It even does it when there are no apps running, and when I added 256MB after Christmas, it made no odds.

Anyone else experienced this/know how to fix it? It's pretty much killing MP3 for me at the moment.

I've never heard of something like that happening before, all I could suggest is DLing a substitute, like MusicMatch Jukebox, until you find out how to fix it.

So bad!

I don't buy singles, but I do buy albums.

But sometimes I 'trial' the album before buying it!

Yep same here, I like to have "legit" albums.

Me too. I have CD collection to maintain, you know! 650 and rising! (but not as fast since the DVD player)

Well I don't have that many, but like I say I like to buy "real" albums, I don't know why its just what I do.

Well it's pretty much the decent thing to do, but there is something more real about a purchased album. After a while, with MP3s, it gets too easy, and you get too many of them. But with CDs, there's something tangible to hold.

Right folks. Time for me to go to go sleepy-bye-byes.

Probably see you tomorrow (I'm such an addict)

Cheers for the chats folks.

Ok, looks like nobody's here.

*takes off clothes and runs around*

WOOO!!!!!!!

*ahem* Err...... :o
