Pfft! The check engine light, and trac off(what shows up when traction control is off) light kept coming on in the GS300, so I took it to the dealership and asked them to take a look at it and I'd be back. I came back, they said they fixed the problem.(they did) They said that all they did was replace 2 O2 sensors, and that was all. Labor alone was around $300. I tell you, this Lexus place ****s me over all the time. $539 for some O2 sensors, and last time it was over $900 for them to "detail" my car like a week after I bought it. They just replaced some fluids and ****, changed spark plugs, etc. They didn't even vacuum/clean it like they were supposed to. I hate them, I really do.
Sounds like you need to find the time to do some of your own maintenance, or at least a new dealership. A can of WD40 and a big wrench and those o2 sensors are all yours. $100 each for the part is bad but not ridiculous; but 5-6 hours labor is just insane. You could do it yourself in half the time, without a lift and airtools.

I hate to say it, but dealerships see folks like you coming a mile away. First off, they're required to get your written consent to their cost estimate, before doing any work (unless you waive that right). Second off, you're not required to follow the DEALERSHIP'S "recommended" service program, because they're damn well going to recommend that you open your wallet and give them your cash and credit cards. All you need to do is follow the MANUFACTURER'S service program that's listed in the Owner's Manual. You're not even required to have the dealer do that! You can do it yourself, as long as you document it.

Get your hands dirty! Strike back against dealership usury!

sure does! it's almost a ripoff of the Tsuchiya AE86... x'cept that one has a CF hood...
