You have to be 17, I only turned 18 on December 26th though......

You only have to be 18 to drink alcohol though so thats cool.......
 
Here in the US you can be 15 and get a starter lisence but an adult has to be with you. You can be 16 to get a real one. :)

Damn, I wish it was like that here.

We get charged massively for insurance on a car though. So we can buy a car for like £500 and be charged 3-4 times as much for insurance. Whats the insurance costs over there???

$200 a month over here. I am not sure what that translates into though.

Woah, thats a lot too, I was talking yearly here. So is that for any car coz ours goes up and down for different cars. Some they won't even insure young drivers on. :( :mad:

Yeah that is a monthly charge. It also depends on what kind of vehicle is being driven. Also..if say a 16 year old had a corvette or something they will charge that kid iut the A55 in insurance!

Sorry to jump in blindly here, but do you really need auto insurance?

On one car, I pay around $600/yr.

My two other vehicles I don't have insured. :nervous: but exciting... :D
