How you getting on with GT3, by the way?
Thanks

ThanksI haven't played in a few weeks b/c I've been working a lot and I STILL don't have a memory card. I'm hoping we'll have them at my job by the next time I work. If not, I'm gonna just buy one somewhere else.

Cool. Shame about the lack of gossip potential, but cool nonetheless.Originally posted by TATINEE
hehe.. no, we're not. Just really good friends.
Well the PS2 has internal fans that keep it cool, so it will establish a temperature at which it's happy. In all seriousness, sometimes it is better to never switch something off, PCs and hi-fi equipment especially. I had to spend som ewhile educating my wife into not unplugging everything from the wall.Originally posted by TATINEE
True, but I don't know how good it is for my PS2 to stay on indefinitely.

Tatinee, did you mean you *have* 2 kids, or *did have* 2 kids, in which case...
It's because when you switch the equipment on, there are moving parts, like hard drives etc, that establish a point at which they're happy - think of it as a rhythm. Once at that point they can run indefinitely. If a hard drive is running but idle, it's better for it to remain in that state rather than to stop, and then have to start again.Originally posted by TATINEE
I had to convince my mom that the computer wouldn't burst into flames if we left it on when we left the house.. lol. She still sometimes shuts off the power cord, but I don't know how to explain to her that she needs to stop b/c I don't know exactly why it's not good. Maybe you can explain to me.
