You have to get your grammer and contractions correct if you want to sound more smarter.
Anyhow, video games are VERY different in japan. They sell games at 7-11. They play all night and day. They take great pride in being the best. They have hand thumb coordination that would scare most people, and many of them play with all but 3 fingers on the control pad. They take them very seriously. The US has more than twice the population of japan, but their video game market is just a hair smaller than ours.
The part where all of this falls apart is in international competition. Most international tournements are won by americans. The Acclaim mortal kombat tournament was dominated by americans. The PGL didnt have a lot of japanese players, but they dont do well. (different type of game I know)
Onliner computer games are dominated by the US as well. This is due in part to the fact that more americans have computers than any other nationality. (its hard to compete against 200 million potential foes) Korea has the highest percentage of their population in online games (approaching 12%) and is coming on strong in online competition, but they choose not to compete internationally in many cases. (its more fun when you can communicate with your opponents I suppose)
In conclusion, it would suprise me if the japanese game were different, and it would amaze me if the european one were different at all. I think its a rumor that some snobby eurotrash
started to make themselves look cooler.
