Picked up a controller for a demo version of GT1 when the ps1 was like on demo and thought "this game sucks big time" only to gain an absolute passion for cars only weeks later and picked up a full copy and never looked back, played all of them, finished all of them, would love to replay all of them, sadly no longer have any of them..DAMMIT!

Story of your life, good stuff 👍. I never thought of going back and collecting the previous titles. I may not pass on a clean GT1 and GT2 if I see one about, while the lackluster but don't get me wrong A-Spec 3 I know I could always pick-up at a EB Games or Gamestop (as if there is any diff between the two other than the name and the welcome greeting :).). GT4 copies are still alive just nicely painted 'greatest hits' red labeling on them and GTPSP and GT5P keeps us in tuned till the release of GT5. So your with not GT's at all GT5P, 4, PSP, nothing?

I was playing when i was eight

8 years old is understandable as well as plausible. At 8 i was playing video games the Nintendo and Super Mario with Duck Hunter. Ah I remember the old classic Madden games with all but the 1/2 bit looking graphics on over sized late 80's, early 90's television sets LoL. Now if GT were out when I was 3 I a. would not had been that good at it to say I've been playing it since I was 3 and b. I wouldn't even remember playing GT at the age of 3! It just seems bogus the guy is 13 now and been playing GT1 since 1999.

Unfortunately no, over the years i have had so many games and so many playstations, GT3 was probz my fave for the tracks and drifting. I got a ps3 and gt5p when it first was released and set some pretty decent drift scores (some were in top 5 even a #1 if i remember but apparently they been beaten now) but the lack of online features and the fact i'm a PAL player meant it was hard to find other drifters and even harder to get drift rooms going. Racing was cool but when the NTSC/PAL combination happenned it became a bumperfest. PS3 got really boring after that so feeling i'd achieved my drifting goals i went and bought an X360 mainly to play Import Tuner Challenge as i loved kaido racer and TXR series on ps2. I then got FM2 and was hooked on that for a while due to the online capabilities btu since have discovered the xbox crowd is one of bandwagon fanboys that cannot be single-minded or have unbiased perspectives.

I`m 20 and the first time i played gt was in the demo that was included with my ps1 2 months later gt2 was released and i bought it and i`ve been playing up since then !!

Usually its not advisable to go backwards in gaming series, because you almost always find out the things you loved most about the newest game hadn't actually been put in the game yet.

I was extremely disappointed when i went back in the final fantasy series, X was the first i bought. Once i bought and played 6 through 9, i regretted buying them at all, i couldn't really connect to the older games because the graphics and the lack of voice actors, it just didn't appeal to me. The storylines in my opinion wern't that good either. I just find it hard to believe how technology was so advanced but they used swords and whips, stuff like that. In 10 it was against the religion and therefore law to use any form of machines, so naturally everyone used swords magic, melee weapons, basically the best that was available to them. Anyhow, i digress.

I strongly advise you buy GT1&2; There are no storylines in GT, each game you make your own. You may find some cars, especially in GT2, that you havn't used in the later games (along with a few tracks only on GT2). The graphics and physics may let you down, but once you get into it, you really appreciate what they were for the time.

I'm 26, and i've been playing since GT1. I can remember that everyone in school was talkng about this game. Best race game ever imo.

I'm 21 (22 in December), and I've played GT since the first in 1998. I lived at my grandma's house at the time, and she spoiled me tremendously. She bought me my Playstation, my first game (which was One...remember?), and lots of other stuff. I remember I was sitting watching TV in the den, my grandma runs in in complete excitement. "I saw this car game at Best Buy, and I thought you'd better have it. Put it in, let me see it!" As I'm looking at the cover, I'm mentally noting how strange it was to me. The car was covered, the game had an odd name (keep in mind, I was 10 years old), and I didn't really care about cars (I preferred starships to cars, as I was a Trekkie in those days). As a kind gesture, I accepted the game, and popped it in. I was immediately struck by the opening movie. I'm confident in saying that was the biggest selling point for me, and that was the best opening GT ever had (I confirmed this theory by digging up that very same copy and popping it in my PS3 at work a few weeks ago). Anyway, I've owned all the GTs that succeeded it, but I was never a serious player (it has always been an appreciation-thing) until recently, when I bought my PS3 last year and got the Prologue with it. I also improved when I bought my first wheel (DFGT). Anyway, that is when I was first graced with this masterpiece series.

19 here, played since Demo 1 on PS1 (which had the Granturismo Demo with the Subaru Impreza) had all the main titles since and I made a Racing Rig with G25 for GT5 :D Can't wait!

I'm 21 in december. My first gt game was the GT concept tokyo-geneva. Played it heaps with my brother and finished all the licenses. I also own gt4, gt5p (I don't own a ps3 but I still have the game! haha, I play it at my friend's place once in a while) and gtpsp.

25 here been playing since (1997) GT1.

Motor Toon GP review

Man, back then this was one helluva game

I'm 34, been playing since getting the demo disc with my first PS1, GT1 was already out by then so rushed straight back out to get the full game. Bought (and still have) them all on or around release day ever since.

I actually have two copies of GT4 as my PS2 stopped playing the original but still played all my other games... Turned out to be the console itself which was a blessing in disguise as I had a good excuse to get one of the new at the time slimline PS2 's :)

Gran Turismo has taken up waaay too much of my life but I've had fun with it so far.

I'm 39, have played GT since GT1.
GT is the main reason I bought the PSOne and PS2, I never really played anything else on those consoles.

Now I have two PS3s, one in the living room which is used quite a bit for Blu-rays and Call of Duty, and one in the basement with a G25 and a projector with a 100" screen, just waiting for GT5 :)

Yeah I´m playing it since GT1 but I see the game completely with different eyes after playing PC-Sims... before the PC-sim time,I´ve seen the GT series like an good NFS game with hard physics... But after playing some sim racing games,I started to love GT5P...

Now today I did a big mistake! I Put GT4 in my PS2 and played it. And now the time to GT5 is killing me... God GT4 is still awesome... Never tried the photo mode before but after buyin a Canon 1000D I see the details in GT4´s photo mode... Also the cars and Tracks... it´s awesome...

So the time to GT5 is killing me more :S

I'm 37 and a noob at this moment, bought my first playconsole ever a PS3 end of May 2009 directly with a G25.
I used to be on commodore 64, Atari and finally PC in the 80ies playing mainly arcade and stopped in the beginning of the 90ies, since I had to concentrate on university. My phone now has better graphics then what I remember from the olden days. GT5p is really something else.

The first computer at home was a comodore 128.....now days things a really diferent from that days..still remember Test Drive, Stunts, etc....
From 1998 playing GT...btw..i'm 31

I'm 30 and I've been playing since GT1 came out..

I was an early adaptor of the PS1 and the memory of my first playstation wasn't good enough to play Gran Turismo (problems with the replays I seem to remember), so I bought a new playstation for this game.

I waited till GT3:A-Spec came out for the PS2, then I bought a PS2..

I bought a PS3 when GT5:Prologue came out

My PS is broken atm though, in repair..so now I'm back to playing GT4
