Hey guys,

I'm in expert mode now, and I am in need of a Race Car, the normal cars, even a veyron wont do anymore against the Race Car opponents.

There are a few on sale but they are all like 4.500.000 credits, which i dont have (about 1 million now), and i dont feel like repeating a race 100 times to get it.

Is there any special challange, or something else where you get one given?

This info would help A LOT :)

Thanks!

damn, yeah those 3 are the problem. Level 21 atm, and about half way to go to level 22. Just been doing Extreme LV20 race Nurburgring, its about 7 mins, and gives 59.000 credits and a decent boost in LV ranking. But to get to level 22 i will need to do it 10 more times more or less :(

i guess its time to try the nascar again :( bleh

Im Almost 23 (101,000 of 114,000), and in the exact same predicament. I have about $3million but even then you have to be 23 to even buy the cars.. I would prefer to win one, but i dont think its possible. I guess all I can do is complete a few more races to get another 1.5mill and a bit more XP then buy a Sauber C9 or something.

I have a tuned Nissan YellowHat GTR (Super GT) and it can hold it's own just, against LMP cars on certain tracks, it's a hairy ride though ! You need to push it to the limit leaving no room for errors!

I think a super gt car will do for gt all stars. They dont cost much and you can buy them even at lv 19. At 500.000 the amemiya rx7 is also a good choice.

to how much can you tune it? it is about 500 standard.

I have a JGTC 350Z and its fully tunned pushing about 670hp, I guess with racing softs on, it should do the trick...

nissan yellowhat huh? i will give it a shot. since im stuck in A spec i have been doin a bunch of bspec. u can win some cool stuff. maybe i can trade someone my dlc mclaren for a race car or something, im never gonna have 4 mil and i hate grinding

i just fired up b-spec for a while. still lvl 0 there

lemme know how the nissan works out for you, and how far you can tune it.

i tried a fully tuned veyron, which has all the speed you might need, just the handling is nothing like the Race Cars

I managed to save up a lot money by doing challenges and just picked up a used (and slightly damaged) Loctite Mugen NSX for about 500,000. She's a beast!

I am stuck now because i need an historical race car to compete with these 800 hp and gt40's in historic race car thingy. I have an lambo countach tuned to max but it's 500 and something hp just aint enough.

So in summary, I think the Mopatop PROTIP™ for this is: Keep your eye on the used car dealers. I think it changes between every race that you do.

yeah if i knew i was gonna have to buy a race car and not win one i wouldnt have spent so much money. I have a 458 italia all decked out, a ford gt decked out, audi r8 decked out. thats like 2 mil right there

Hello!
My first post in the GTP Forum.
This seems like a great site since I love GT!

My answer to this question would be to check the used car dealership.

I saw a Toyota GT-One today for around 2,5M.
Kinda cheap for a Race Car, but it still require LV. 23.

Yesterday I saw a Sauber (My favorite car in GT4) for 5,5M, but I was only LV. 17 and had ~400K :(

Hopefully somewhere in spec-b ill get a nice race car. not going to spend my credits on a car, until i know 100% that it can beat those Race Cars :)

someone please confirm when youve done it

You can win the Zonda R in the Gran Turismo World Championship in b-spec.
Tuned it does 950 BHP, just won the first 2 races but just now i screwed up at nurburgring, pretty sure the car can do it though.

The Zonda R is nothing like a normal Zonda, it really glues to the tarmac.

i have a Nissan GTR, with modification leading to around 790-810 bhp (it seems to change between these figures). it also has the rear wing option from the GT auto place, aswell as racing medium and racing soft tyres. at the moment it seems to be doing the job in the expert series events.

also, does anyone know of a list/thread etc of the endurance races, and the pre-reqs required to take part in them? and also a list of 'prize cars' from?
thanks.

hey lb1990, the problem we are having is the "All Stars Event", if the GTR can do it, sign me up. all the other cars in the event are race cars, so we are assuming we need one as well

So, a stealth mclaren can't hold itself against race cars? Really? I took it for a spin and it seemed ridiculously fast.

aah sorry for that oversight, im not 100% sure then. although i have seen a Lamborghini Countach race car (JGTC) found it on 'mygranturismo' as the "NOMAD Diablo GT-1 (JGTC) '00" in the used car section. it was on my friends copy of GT5 and if im right in recalling it was much less than 1 million CR.

i know that the super GT Subaru impreza is 500,000 CR, lv13, 4wd, but then the other JGTC series cars (GTR's, Skylines, Supras NSX's etc) are 950,000 CR with around 480-500bhp. But this obviously depends on peoples level, and the CR that they have, driving style etc.

i havent bought it yet, decided to get some more cash first.

anyone managed already?

A Stock GTR?

Because I tuned the Nissan GTR Spec V 2009 to 870hp.

The problem isnt the HP, its the handling, for me anyway, I cant get it to handle brilliantly with that much power.
